We have a commitment from DB/WR Wyatt Gardner out of Torrey Pines High School! I'm guessing he's been recruited as a DB since he tagged the defensive coaches. GO AGS!
Ugh...It's hard for me to understand that anyone would select a CSUS education over UCD...that is if an education is a priority for them in the first place!
Sincere Jackson, LB, CCSF, has added offers from UNLV and Temple. He previously said UNLV was in the lead. One Juco service has named him a top 50 Juco recruit.
Why would anyone choose 2-8 UNLV, who also lost to EWU this year, over us. Yes they are FBS, but do you want to win or not. We should be able to sell the vision we have for a national championship and we are recruiting kids who can get us there. They’re not going to win a national championship at UNLV.
Most of these guys are out of Davis' league, but I enjoyed the on-field film for the Mater Dei vs. Servite game played in Anaheim last night. Of note, a lawsuit was recently filed against the Mater Dei program on behalf of a former player alleging that ritual hazing led to a brain injury. The LA Times and OC Register are all over it.
There are not a lot of offers listed on page 1 of this thread. I remember reading from some other threads that some schools provided more scholarships this year as a result of some waiver due to covid, but that they might have to eliminate some of those next year. Would that mean some school would either have no recruiting class or they would have to pull scholarships from some kids causing a flood on the transfer portal?
An atypically small class in 2020 and the 12 seniors and 1 graduate student who has exhausted eligibility should leave some room.
I hope that some of the HS class of 21 have talent that they haven’t had opportunity to show. Basically no playing time for that recruiting class
Looks like he would be a great addition. Now has 16 offers (incl. San Diego). DC Coombs went, we must have a shot. If he wants to play at a higher level and have his family see him, that rules out the east coast. I guess we battle Air Force and Montana State.
Agreed, I honestly don't think next year's starting QB is on our roster right now. Clearly the staff doesn't see Hunter as the man, so it wouldn't surprise me if he leaves. Maybe Hastings improves dramatically, or one of the other QBs steps up, but just a gut feeling that we'll have someone new under center
