• MBB Off-season 2022
I don't think this is what the NCAA had in mind when they added the idea of the grad transfer!
  • MBB Off-season 2022
article I read made it sound like they had a depth issue at power forward with only 2 incoming frosh there. Nice stop gap for PSU, nice step up for Henn
  • MBB Off-season 2022
That’s gotta be a walk-on, right? Maybe not, article I read said this gives them needed depth. Weird

I liked him as an Ag and was disappointed he left after his frosh season. 5 schools?
  • Aggie Launch Day and Aggie EVO
in an era where NLI is running wild for athletes, i see no problem with a athletic program investing in a program that prepares the student-athletes for their future after graduation. might be a question of why engineering or other programs aren't doing something similar?
  • Aggie Launch Day and Aggie EVO
Other departments across the campus are following the EVO program. I was contacted some months back to take part in a 'speed interview' type program as part of a class offered in L&S. it was based on the quarterly events that EVO has been hosting for the past several months, and the instructor got my name from EVO staff.
  • California Tour Set for Hawkins and Others
This is a much bigger outreach than in the past. Unfortunately I’m out of the country during the San Jose/SF dates
  • Cal Swim HC accused of decades long bullying, 6 consider suicide
The Mercury is running wild with this story. 3 straight days and first day was a 3-pager.
  • Rankings and theme days
we were 6-2. Best sac state, Santa Clara (twice), Sonoma (year before they played D2) and Marin. Lost at Gavilan and Butte.

Only 2 other locals with frosh and that may have been first years, or close, for both. Frosh usually were around .500 v JCs
  • Rankings and theme days
freshman football was HUGE! We had something like 40 guys; our FWC opponents were bringing in maybe 15 guys. Plus it was a training ground for coaches. I loved frosh football
  • California Tour Set for Hawkins and Others
I know they’ve done at least the Northern California version, but I think they’re publicizing it more. I went to San Jose a couple times. One year, London Breed (alum) showed at the SF event
  • Rankings and theme days
they traveled down south. I remember talking to Fred Arp once when he was saying he had some portion of SoCal. We had a handful of guys from the LA area (Daryl Goss for example), and usually a few from the Bakersfield area.
  • MBB Off-season 2022
Murphy enrolled at another school. The 3 graduates are out. I wouldn’t expect the others will be back
  • QB depth chart for next year
Tompkins is no longer a QB.
  • MBB Off-season 2022
I’ve seen the younger brother play a few times and he’s a scorer. Smaller than his brother which might keep the bigger schools away
  • MBB Off-season 2022
I think they had to wait to make sure they would be admitted
  • Students to vote on defending ICA?
i was thinking the same thing. i thought there is something like 1000 athletes. 12% turnout is something like 4000 students or so? so maybe everybody BUT the athletes votes against?
  • 2022 Roster
Dixon was out at the golf tournament Friday. Big kid. The day I was at practice all the players had switched jerseys. There was s big ‘72’ throwing bullets. I told someone ‘maybe we should give that tackle a shot at QB’. They quickly corrected me
  • MBB Off-season 2022
One thing I hadn’t appreciated about the UCs and the grad transfers - the majority of our programs are geared toward a PhD, so getting admitted for a one year commitment (even if they qualify with a 3.0) is problematic.
  • Students to vote on defending ICA?
    Vote starts today I believe
  • MBB Off-season 2022
I wonder when we’ll get official annoying these transfers? Looking back, the announced Milling late April. Maybe there is another coming and they’ll make a group announcement
