I like that we have created a little pipeline from St John Bosco to UC Davis with Nas Anesi, Jared Harrell, and now Kristian Gilbert. St John Bosco is regularly one of the top high school teams in the entire country and their talent is definitely welcome at Davis in my opinion.

We just landed another recruit! We got a commitment from 3 star WR Kristian Gilbert from St John Bosco!

I honestly don't think this is even tin foil hat territory, in fact I think there is a decent chance this happened. Brucey seems to be the only person that was really surprised by this. I think Blue made his decision about Gould a long time ago. I hope that he had a running list of potential candidates for the job. I love the transparency that Dr. Blue is providing throughout the process, hopefully it won't be long until we have a new coach.

I think this just goes to what we have all been saying. Ron Gould is an excellent human being, he is an excellent running backs coach, but he was in over his head here. Good luck Coach Gould.

Yeah that's not overly surprising news. Good for him, I don't harbor any ill will against Coach Gould. I hope he finds lots of success down in Fresno.

Especially since there were rumors that the assistants tried to reason with Gould in terms of changing things up because of the record and he wouldn't have any of it. I don't know any validity behind that rumor, but I heard it nonetheless. They seem like good guys.

I'm not very knowledgeable about quality of assistant coaches, but those top 3 look awesome.

That is a very outdated list.

I think the jury is still out on the program building, still a small sample size there. I want a coach who has a record of success.

Tough to say how many will stay though. Did they pick Davis for the program or the school? If they only picked it because of the program, they don't have much incentive to stay now that Gould has been let go. Time will tell, but I'm assuming whoever gets picked to coach here will want to salvage the recruiting season by getting a couple of their own guys on the roster.

Agreed that Moroski probably isn't the right guy for the program right now. There are some good options out there, just hope that Blue picks the right guy whoever that may be.
