Fairly clean game. Song is back and looks a bit rusty but she adds another good defender. Ags did really well on the offensive boards.

I was just looking at our record and, yikes, 1-7 on the road. Certainly a split this week would be nice, but a sweep would start to build confidence that we can win away from the Pavilion. Go Ags!

BJ has been getting a few more minutes the last few games. He is big and strong but doesn't have a strong offensive game yet. Maybe that'll come around. Nice to know his pop was there.

If there's one thing that I look at with this team is how early in a half do they get into the bonus. One, because we are a good FT shooting team so it leads to "easy" points, but also that it shows just how aggressive we are. Last night I felt that we settled too much for the 3 pointer rather than driving and creating contact. Sure there were sections, most notably a part mid way through the second half where it looked like Manjon couldn't be stopped, but overall it just seemed like we were a step slow. Credit CSUF as I thought there overall defense was as tough as I've seen against us. As you said, we'll need to play much much better Saturday against the Bows if we are to have any chance.

This one needs to go in the win column tonight. It'll be weird seeing CSUF without Ahmad and Allman (they always seemed to kill the Ags). Rowe is still there and he'll be a tough matchup. But if we continue to play the tough team defense that we did last week, and add in some friendly home rims on offense, hopefully we see a good outcome. We are 4.5 point favorites.

I’m pretty sure I saw fuller on the bench. Could be sickness. Or maybe a matchup decision.

Diane is the key, of course. I think Poly got him into foul trouble, similar to how Carter had to sit out a lot of last nights 1st half. Hopefully we'll be able to get a few early fouls against him.

Its the start of another weird BW season. Poly, who some thought might not win a game in conference, has already beaten CSUN (clobbered) and played UH tough in Hawaii. Beach has two losses (one at home) but a road win at SB. There's probably other surprises...and we are only a week into conference play.

Ah man that sucks. I hope she can heal well and gets another year. Song has been out a while, too, but I thought I heard on a broadcast that she's close to returning.

Pretty important road trip for the Ags. Two winnable games, tonight at the beach and Saturday at CSUN. Splitting would be "OK" but it sure would be nice to take two. Obviously, the Ags have to play better than they did last week. Beach is athletic but they don't have a bunch of scorers. If we can play tough team defense and take care of the ball on offense, we should have a good chance.

That's a pretty good guess. I'm estimating we finish 9-7 in conference play (6-2 at home and 3-5 on the road) which will put us about 4th (somewhere between 3rd and 5th). There's still lots of "ifs" in the league: how will CSUN play now that Diane is back? Will UH be able to win on the road? Will UCR be the team that beat Nebraska and Fresno or the one that lost at home to NAU and got clobbered by 50 at Air Force. Questions start to get answered this week.
