An indefinite term sounds like forever. Or they have a very serious injury.

Pele, one of the greatest athletes in WBB history at Davis. She was the energizing force when she was playing. Absolutely fearless rebounding player. I think we may have missed her energy the past few years. I do not know if she has left davis, but if she has it was her decision. Jen would never ever fire her. IMHO

But I forgot, there are volunteer assistant coaches allowed. Maybe the new coach is that. But she really looks like a winner for the Aggies in any case!

There was better news on forward Morgan Bertsch. She'll miss Friday's home game against the New York Liberty with an ankle sprain, but is expected back soon. The 6-foot-4 Bertsch, a WNBA rookie who has played professionally overseas, started the first three games.

"Morgan's maybe a week or two," Wade said. "I don't think it's going to go any further than that. She was on the bike and doing some stuff today."

MoBertch back from her ankle injury and all she did was go 4-5 from deep and lead the Sky in scoring with 16 pts today. Sky lost though...Copper and Mabrey didn't have it going today.

Morgan Bertsch just traded to Phoenix as part of a package deal with Kahleah Copper.

Could be a good deal for her, since Phoenix sent Breanna Turner to Chicago and Megan Gustafson moved to Las Vegas in free agency, so PHX has a bit of a hole off the bench at the 4/5 position.

Closer to home and joins Brianna Turner.

Turner got sent to Chicago.

Early season update: Morgan made the regular-season Phoenix roster, but it's been kind of depressing since then. Not getting much time off the bench--hasn't earned the coaches trust, or something else, not sure.

Tough to be a bench player and essentially be expected to be perfect every night, IMO. "Please come into the game cold and go 3-3 from deep."

edit: personally, I find Phoenix a difficult team to root for--a number of dirty or dirt-adjacent players on that team.

Morgan has signed an "injury hardship" contract with the Dallas Wings, the team that drafted her out of college. The Wings have been hit with a string of injuries.

Morgan just joined Athinaikos AS Vurona. I'm curious with the news of the WNBA adding three expansion teams over the next few years if that will be her opportunity.
