From a Redbird fan on their forum:
"SEMO has 6'7", 6'5" & 5'11" stud receivers all have 60 plus receptions even their 2nd tier receivers are 20 reception all WR are in double digits. That's depth and they rotate their WR's and utilize all of them. RB are committee of 5 all have average of 260 +/- 20yds for the season. Hopefully our LB/DL can get some pressure on QB to help our DB's on coverage still not sold 100 on defensive coverage on a good passing team."

In my opinion, and having watched a little of both, Illinois State will be the favorite, even as the visiting team. They have always been a solid team and play in a much tougher league than SEMO.

I have a friend in our church choir who is an Illinois State grad and we talk FCS (Valley and Big Sky) football.

Athletics: "December 7th will feature a unique opportunity for fans. Due to the timing of the football game, tipoff for the Men's Basketball game against UC Santa Barbara has been moved from 2pm to 5pm that day.

"We're offering fans an opportunity to go to both games for the price of one! Any fans coming from football that show their playoff ticket at the box office of the University Credit Union Center will receive a FREE general admission ticket to the UCSB game immediately following football!"

    Great move.

I don't see it on the UC Davis football website yet.

I see it on the buy tickets link now. They need to plaster it on the main website. They also need to update the time as 6pm PT rather than TBD.

Yes, not all the links got there, i.e. single game purchase.

When you buy your tickets be sure to buy some student tickets. Students have to pay to get in. We want to fill up that side. They're only $5/ea.

    I bought 10 student seats.

Is there a plan to hand out tickets to students? I just bought four tickets for me and my cousin's son. Not sure who the other two tickets will go to, but we'll figure it out.

So what do you do with the student tickets that you buy? How do you distribute them?
  • agalum

Just shows up in your shopping cart. You put in the number. I’m assuming you never get them and athletics distributes them.

Hmm, I didn't see that option. Maybe that's an option for Team Aggie members or season ticket holders? I'd gladly buy student tickets if there is a way to still pick up the tab for some kids.

I just checked the ticket sales for the game and it's confusing. We are Team Aggie members and season ticket holders but it seems like you can only select a ticket price and then you are assigned seats. We are usually able to select where we want to sit but the site isn't given us that option. Has anybody else been able to select where you want to sit?

I just went ahead and bought the seats that were automatically selected for us. We'll be in section 121 Row N.

We're season tickets holders to mens basketball also so we're really happy that they moved the start time for game against Santa Barbara. I've never been to a football - basketball double header! Great idea by the Athletics Department. Now they just need to advertise the hell out of this double header!

I clicked the three bars on top left which showed ‘season renewal’. That is the link to your season ticket option and parking. That’s what the email described. Seemed easier by phone than computer

Just what Mike said. The confusing part is that they give you multiple ticket options. Maybe thats for extra tickets. I clicked the option at the top and it automatically added my regular seats. At the bottom is the option to buy student tickets.

No, Mike, I missed seeing that email and just bought the tickets on the Buy Tickets tab. I thought the Season Renewal tab was for season tickets. I just read the email and it's as you say. You can get your original season ticket seats and there's also an option to buy the $5 tickets for the students. I'll call the ticket office tomorrow and see if I can straighten it out but I may be stuck with the tickets I just bought and not sure if I'll be able to get our parking pass unless the one we have for the regular season will be good for the playoffs.

No, your regular lot 56 parking pass will not be honored. You have to buy a $25 parking pass for your lot 56 parking.

or you can park REALLY early for basketball and talk a long walk!

Please call and ask what their plan is for the student tickets.

I am really confused because the FCS show seemed to indicate it was a 6pm start but I had heard it was an afternoon game. What time is the kick?
  • DrMike

1:00. The times in the brackets were a little confusing.

Thank you. I took a look at the link and after the third time I see that we were the 4pm ET/1pm slot. I saw that 9pm/6pm for Idaho and thought it was our game. WIth that spacing I might watch the Ags then go to UI at 6pm.

We have a parking pass for the garage for the basketball games but, like you said, we'd have to get there REALLY EARLY!

Do students have to pay for regular season games, too? How long has this been going on? When I was there, students got into all games for free with their ASUCD card. I can't remember going to a football or basketball game that wasn't sold out during the term. Those were the good old days.

Alright, now I have to figure out a way to convince my wife to let me show up a little late to her parents 50th anniversary party so I can go to the game.

Unfortunately we likely have a better chance of winning the national title this year than her okaying this.

they were free when I was a student 15 years ago. I believe are free for the regular season due to the student fee.

As Baseball said, students get into regular season games free but have to pay for the playoffs. I guess the NCAA wants their cut.
