“The New York Giants announced on Friday that following their three-day minicamp, wide receiver Keelan Doss has been signed.
Doss was one of four tryout players to join the Giants in East Rutherford this week. The other three were wide receiver Isaiah Ford, tight end Jaeden Graham and defensive tackle Kobe Smith.
Doss, 26, was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent out of UC Davis in 2019. He’s also made stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets, plus a second stint with the Raiders.”
Does anyone know how to remove the old Aggie tapatalk site form the current Aggie sports site. Very annoying and it is very tight and Will not go away easily.
Doesn't JT have all his helmets on display behind him in his videos? edit: maybe I'm just remembering him showing them in one of the ESPN "look at this guy!" features a while back.
Here's J.T.'s latest, a pre-season breakdown of former Oregon State Beaver Jake Luton with Jacksonville (vs. Raiders) - they played this game a week ago:
Apparently he was just about out the door and got a last minute reprieve late Friday afternoon when another wide receiver was injured in practice and placed on the injured reserve list.
Here is a nice bit on Keelan, but still predicting he won’t survive the final-final cuts:
“Keelan Doss: Doss made the catch of the night in the third quarter when he made a leaping, diving catch of a back shoulder throw for 20 yards. It was a spectacular, one-handed catch against contact. Doss finished with three catches for 34 yards, improving his desultory performance last week. He is a physical blocker and possession receiver who hasn’t been reliable enough this preseason. Still, the numbers might be working against him regarding earning a spot on the initial 53-man roster.
I wonder what the problem is. His routes aren't good enough and he is not getting open? He's not fast enough? I know he dropped some balls in games, so is his reliability there a question? Did he just never get enough attention in practice or games to really show what he could do? What a bummer. Hard to believe a guy that was that dominant for us can't seem to make the NFL.
Same old story. I remember when I thought that Corey Hawkins was a cinch to make it in the NBA and I heard commentators last season practically guaranteeing that Daniel Whelan would be drafted. There is stigma attached to the lower level conferences, even with the likes of Cooper Kupp and Trey Lance making it in the NFL or Pascal Siakim and Alan Williams in the NBA.
