New offer on a QB. Carson Crawford out of Beaverton, OR. Passed for 3,010 yards and rushed for an additional 786 last season, 37 Total TDs, Oregon 6A Player of the Year. This was his only year playing QB, he was previously a WR.
Looks like he is only 5'10" Watch his highlights. If he was 6'2" and had anoth year of QB under his belt, he would have offers from every school on the West Coast (in my humble opinion). Is he a college WR?
Yeah I had already watched his highlights and saw his measurements, he is definitely on the small side but he can ball. That being said, size shouldn't be the only deciding factor when choosing to put a guy out there on the field. Height does help in seeing over the line, but Russell Wilson and Drew Brees seem to have something figured out. I have no idea if we recruited him to be QB or WR though.
This is his first year ever playing QB! ... Played QB in practice last year, his father was a top QB at PSU. ... Had 800 yards as a WR last year in the slot. Plays 3 sports, very humble... May now be 5'11", 175.
If I'm Crawford, I'm thinking Army is looking pretty
awesome right now since I'd likely play QB...and they beat Navy on national TV.
Not sure anyone under 5'11" could play QB at the D1 level except at a service academy or Cal Poly. I know there could be exceptions.....but I'm guessing we offered him as a receiver / emergency QB.
New offer according to a blog to LAVC DB Michael Sewell Jr., 6'1" 205#s. He committed to Berkeley after last year, had transfer issues, then commited to UNT, but that has ended. Considered a playmaker. His twitter handle is Durty Mike, I'm old fashioned, doesn't' sound like us.
Where'd you find this? I wouldn't worry about a twitter handle. I have faith this staff can keep these kids on the straight and narrow. Hawk seems like he would be a good influence for the guys.
Boise State QB Tommy Stuart transferring, former 1 year Butte College MVP , "wheels, energy"...Bronco Country blog fan speculates he is transferring for PT. One fan speculates we are an option.
We have another new offer out and our 3rd from our new defensive coordinator's old team. DT Terrell Cloud out of LAVC. For being an interior lineman, his highlights show that he was very effective on the pass rush which we could always use more of.
To be honest though, I think Laughrea had the skill but his heart and head weren't in football anymore. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember from that situation.
Exactly. Verbal commitments mean little in the football recruitment world. All bets are off until the kids have signed on the dotted line. This guy has received a handful of offers since his verbal commitment to MSU.
"An engineering major and National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete, Martin said his selection was based in large part on academic opportunities at UC Davis.
"He made a decision based on his future," Pirates Coach Kevin Emerson said. "I'm very proud of him."
Martin was also impressed by the enthusiasm of the UC Davis coaching staff, who continued to pursue the 6-foot-2, 300-pound lineman even after he sustained an injury.
"They kept that interest when they found out I had torn my knee up and stayed with me while I was rehabbing it," Martin said.
