UC Riverside comes to the Pavilion for the first conference game of the season for both teams. The Highlanders have impressive wins over Nebraska and Fresno State but have also lost by 49 points to Air Force a week a go. The Ags have been playing well lately and will be looking to get off to a good start in conference play. Winning at home is a must for the Aggies if they hope to be in the mix with the top teams in the conference this season. I expect this will be a closely contested game.
Live stream from Big West TV and Scott Marsh will call the radio PxP on KHTK 1140 AM at 7 pm Thursday.
We got off to a terrible start in the first 3 minutes and it seemed to set the emotional tone for us for the rest of the game even though we got within 3 late. We started the game with 4 TO's and had 6 TO's in the first 3 minutes. Riverside shot 64% in the first half so we were lucky to only be down 8 at the break. We don't have the size and quickness that they have and their defense disrupted us from getting into any offensive rhythm.
They were the better team tonight from start to finish. I think they could be a sleeper in the conference this year.
