Erwin had another strong start. Another homerun for Garrett Kelly (a game- winner off the foul pole) and the first of the season for Tanner Murray. A big day at the plate for Jalen Smith. Also a game- saving throw from Cooper Morrison, gunning out the potential go- ahead run at the plate.
I like that Smith and Arenado are getting a lot of playing time early. With Van Blake graduating next year they could very well be the second and third basemen, in some order, next year.
One thing I don't care for is that two relievers this year have been left to give up 7 runs apiece. When you have this many pitchers and are getting beaten badly there's no strategic advantage to leaving them in. That's the time to empty the bullpen. Also, what does Brock Moffitt have to do to get another appearance ?
