• FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
This press conference tells you everything you need to know about how special this football program is and how lucky we are to have Tim Plough as or head coach. I'm so very proud of this team.

  • Plough’s influence on Indiana’s Mendoza
Tim Plough has elevated our reputation as QBU. A young QB looking to grow and develop could find no better place to be than right here at UCD under Plough's guidance.
  • 2025 FCS Playoffs
The Nova QB really fires a lot of his passes like they are shot out of a canon. I think he could have had a couple more critical completions is he just took a little juice off the ball.
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
I heard something on the KCRA weather last night saying that we are close to tying or breaking the record for the longest stretch of consecutive days with the highs only in the 40's since 1999.
  • 2025 FCS Playoffs
    #2 Montana State 24 #7 Stephen F Austin 8 at the half.
  • MBB UC Davis (5-3) at Oregon (4-5), Saturday Dec. 13, 1 pm, on Big 10 Network
I hope we see some increased offensive production from Suljanovic. I think he could be a very good shooting forward who could stretch the court for us with his inside out game. His highlight video show him draining 3's with a beautiful shot but it hasn't been falling for him yet this season.
  • Transfer Portal
I'm not so sure we can read too much into Wrighster entering the portal in regards to Pinnick coming back. Wrighster may see himself still battling with Eason and Cleeland and, potentially, still be #3 if Pinnick transfers out.

We won't know until we know but, what we do know, is that the big boys will be offering our best players some big NIL money and the promise of huge crowds and fame even though only 1.6-2% of all college football players ever go on to play in the NFL and the vast majority of those players are from big time FBS teams. So 98% would be much better off with a highly regarded UC Davis degree.

It is "ridiculous money" but that's chump change for many of the power programs even though most have a big deficit at the end of each year. Money is being thrown around college football like the end of the world was being held in the balance by it...
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
Any news on our injury situation for this game? We had a few players leave the game last week. I'm hoping Jacob Psyk will be healthy enough to play. He can be a game changer on defense.
  • Membership
It's great that we are beginning to see students participating in our forum. It shows that the support from students for Aggie athletics is growing and we need to build an enthusiastic, student fan base in order to create a loud, collegiate atmosphere at the games....the more the better.

I just checked the tickets sales and the west side has lots of seats available...many more than I expected.

Great article about Jade Light that illustrates what it takes to be a great athlete and a great student at UC Davis:

Serving Success: How Jade Light Balances Engineering and Division 1 Volleyball

As a double major in mechanical engineering and aerospace science and engineering at the University of California, Davis, and captain of the Aggies women’s volleyball team, Jade Light has never wanted to choose between her two passions. Instead, she had to learn how to give both the time and energy they deserve.

Now in her fourth year, Light has figured out — through some trial and error — how to balance both worlds with a positive outlook, persistence and a goal-oriented game plan, showing that dedication and discipline can make even the toughest balancing acts possible.

I think they've currently got 4 games on the schedule for next year so, if that's all they can get, maybe the whole team could redshirt while they continue to fumble their way to varsity, FBS football in 2027!
