“ Are the Conners brothers on the floor in the student section? Thought I caught a glimpse of them”
I definitely saw Rex amongst a big group on the south bleachers. That was a rowdy group. They had student security pushing them back to their seats. I was assuming that group was a frat. The energy was fun to watch. I have a video, I’ll try to post it later.

Interesting thanks for the info. I’m an old retired dude so I only know what I see on the news without real world experience on the subject.

Hopefully there’ll be a parking spot in the team aggie parking area for you. I’d save a spot for you if i could. We’re planning on getting there early just in case.

I wonder how many people on campus really are in the “other” category?
  • MBB: UC San Diego (27-4, 17-2) at UC Davis (15-15, 9-10) Saturday, Mar. 8 at 8:00 pm
Irvine’s entire team was up for that game. The guys on the bench were cheering and boisterous when there guys made bucket after bucket. But i just didn’t expect them to shoot 70%, or close to it, in the second half. We need at least one more hot hand tonight if we’re going to make it close.

  • MBB: UC Irvine (25-5, 15-3) at UC Davis (15-14, 9-9) Thursday, Mar. 6 at 6:00 pm
My wife (former cheer leader) thinks the cheer leaders should line up in front of the student section and actively be leading the students on the cheers, like DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE, instead of just sitting on the side lines. The band director i think does a really good job getting the band to get loud. We need that energy in the student section.

There was a great crowd last night, and the students were in force. Too bad our Aggies didn’t show up. Hopefully they show up Saturday.

I think the big difference between this year and last was no Pepper. Tough to guard both Pepper and TY when they were both on the floor. Unfortunately, we’re looking at 6 losses in a row.

“ im curious if anyone here knows the history of season tickets/ how ticket prices looked at toomey? missed that whole era”

I was a season ticket holder on the east side of the field starting around the mid 80s. I don’t remember the price, but it was very reasonable. There was no team aggie fee for the better seats. What i do remember, and miss, is that after each home game there was a reception at the faculty club for alumni. They served bbq hot dogs and had a no host bar. Sochor would join us and stand on a chair to address the crowd and analyze the game. To this day my son, now in his 40s, remembers the hot dogs, lol.

Yeah, as i recall his sister from Sweden was there for senior night. Niko is a really nice young man. He spent some time mentoring my grandson on college athletics and has told me several times he would be more than happy to chat with him anytime. He also came over and sat with Dr. Mike and i at the Cal game, visiting with us about UCD athletics and academics. Great roll model.

    5 questions for UC Davis

“ Who Is The Next QB?
Multi-year starting quarterback Miles Hastings is out of eligibility after six seasons at Davis.

In 48 career games, Hastings threw for 11,168 yards, 80 touchdowns, and 38 interceptions. He played his best ball in 2024, throwing for 4,493 yards, 38 touchdowns, and 13 picks.

The Aggies have four quarterbacks on their 2025 spring roster.

Grant Harper enters his sixth season after being QB2 last year. The 3-star high school recruit has attempted only 24 career passes at Davis.

The Aggies have three more 3-star recruit QBs who are earlier in their college careers: David Rasor (3rd year), Caden Pinnick (2nd year), and Damon Wrighster (2nd year).”

Really enjoyed Hunter and the turtle zen. Very articulate, well spoken person. Definitely a Davis guy :).
  • Top Games from 2000-today
Too bad the Reno games aren’t included. That game at the Toom was one of the most action filled games in Aggie history with a standing room only crowd.
