Glad you are ok. While the literature doesnt support the efficacy of deer horns, i have them on all of our vehicles. We have a cabin in NE CA, so are in deer country alot. Dusk and dawn are the times you need to stay on your toes. I have seen deer stop in there tracks as i approached.

There were a ton of students on the lawn in the south end zone. That area was packed.

I had an interesting conversation today with one of my undergrad interns. He is a former HS varsity football player at nose guard. He’s in his third year. I asked him why the student section is rather empty. He had two reasons. First, the team has sucked for the last few years, “but it sounds like they are somewhat better this year.” Its no fun watching the team get analilated. Second, NEAR ZERO marketing to the students on campus. I remember when i was an undergrad (i really do), pep rallies, banners on campus, it was common knowledge who we were playing and when. Hook these students now, and increase your donations from them once they get into the work force. Aggie Pack needs some reworking, as has been discussed here numerous times.

Add to Dr. Mike's list - scoring in the red zone. I don't know what the stats are, but they must be terrible. For heavens sake, the towel boy knows that when CJ comes in he's going to run with it. The mad cow worked great against Portland, and that's about it. Put CJ in and let him hand off to a RB, or roll out and pass the ball.

At the signing celebration at El Macero, Hawk said something like (paraphrasing) “we are going to pass, then we are going to go in motion and pass, then we will pass again.” He went on to explain that we didnt have the size up front to have an effective running game and it would take time to develop (recruit?) the kids we need to compete in the league with a running game. With that said, all we need is a good walk-on to turn that around :).

Coach Plough addressed the running plays in the coaches show. Essentially NAU was top 10 against the pass so they went for the running plays. It would seem though that you need to be more dynamic during the game when plan A doesnt work.
