Ok, thanks for the info. He’s a hard hitting good kid from a football family. Surely he will be missed on the field

Quincy Bennett isn't back this year.

What happened to Quincy? I got to know his dad at various functions. His dad traveled from Texas to see the games

‘ So, Dr May, you went to Cal? Couldn’t get into Davis?’

That’s great. Would have loved to see May’s reaction to that.
  • Aggies vs Bears
Tremendous early season challenge. Be competitive and get out injury free = win.
  • Aggie Football Fan Fest 2019 TOMORROW

No, that’s where i live at the moment, lol.

I had rsvped for the event but we will be in cooler places for the weekend.
  • Paul Wulff an Aggie coach?
↪Riveraggie Sac will be a new study in HS coaches jumping to college ball.movielover

Let's not underestimate them though. I'm not sure what it is, but for as long as I have followed Aggie football, they seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Also, wasn't Mattos a HS coach before being HC over there?
  • RedRum Closes today!
Years ago there was a competition for the re-naming Murder Burger. The person who came up with Redrum Burger won "burgers for life." I wonder if there was a breach of contract clause :).
  • Gary May - 2 years
I feel like he has brought a calming presence to campus.zythe

I would agree with that. I also think he has been very supportive of athletics. It is common to see him at bball and football games. Not crazy about him using his position as Chancellor to support his political ideology (mainly through FB postings that I have seen). And when he was challenged the comments quietly disappeared.
  • Paul Wulff an Aggie coach?
Interesting. He was fired by WSU after having the worst record in their history. Not sure what he did at Sac State. But Hawk knows talent so hopefully he will contribute.
  • Aggies vs Bears

Finn, you might want to add talent in that equation :).
  • Looking Forward to 2019
I doubt you'll see any of that in the Bee. They wouldn't want to hurt Sucs feelings :).
  • Aggies vs Bears

Agreed. And the game tickets MUST be bought as a package deal with the tailgate pass, $80 each. At that price i think they will be shooting themselves in the foot.
  • Aggies vs Bears

I doubt I will do the bus. For those familiar with the most efficient methods of getting in and out of Cal, any suggestions? Drive to Richmond and take BART? I see Amtrak has an option for $40 round trip from Davis as well.
  • Scouting the Cal Bears

Reasonable article. Give Jake time and he is going to do well. As is often the case, the game will be won and lost in the trenches unless Jake becomes more mobile. In contrast to our previous coaching staff, Hawk has his guys ready to go game 1. Score against Cal? Vegas has it 11-30 for Cal.
  • UC Davis to play USC 2021
The boosters there have a lot of power.

Thats the truth, big time. I went to HS down there. Several of my close friends ended up at SC. Their booster and alumni network is remarkable. And that kind of $ talks the talk and walks the walk.
  • Scouting the Cal Bears
Wasn't it Weber a few years ago that gave Cal everything they could handle? As i recall, Cal had to come back from being down.
  • Preseason All-Big Sky Team and Polls
Great accolades for the program, but I think I would rather be rated lower down the list and prove them wrong.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Any updates on the Band-uh status? They will be worth a TD at Cal.

Maier’s pass-catching corps will have much to prove in the wake of Doss’ departure, but it still features two key pieces that have the skillset to keep things rolling. Junior wideout Jared Harrell was the Aggies’ second-leading receiver in 2018, catching 62 passes for 896 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’ll be complemented by senior tight end Wes Preece, who had a breakout sophomore year in 2017 and tied Doss with nine receiving touchdowns last year.
