I don’t think we’ll see any further developments until the Pac secures a media deal. Seems like everything is on the come. They’ve got some good teams from the MW. Will be interesting to see who they add. Wazzu is ranked 22 and the Donks are at 15 in this week’s football rankings. Meanwhile, the guys across the causeway continue their telethon. This is an education on realignment.

Concentrate on this week’s game and get a decisive win. The Montana games will be tough. Missoula extended an 8:15 pm mt start. Is this Big Sky after dark? How nice of them. Ball control and top is important. Hopefully we can keep the offense on the field. The Montana State home game should be the featured game of the season. Where’s College Game Day? Go Ags!

Movielover: I remember watching the game at the Graduate. We feasted on Grad burgers
and pitchers of beer. The massive long tables were packed shoulder to shoulder. The place was loud and united. An epic game.

A good test for the Aggies. I have a friend in Spokane I visit often. I refuse to go to an EWU game in Cheney. Had the misfortune to sit next to one of their fans at a Davis game. What an arse The dude was a real hayseed. I’m sure many of you have had similar experiences both good and not so good.
I sat next to a great Tennessee fan at Memorial. They brought over,10,000 fans to Berkeley. He was the most pleasurable, knowledgeable individual. Even though Cal won, he was very gracious. I always try to engage with visiting fans who come to Davis. It’s part of the game day experience.

Dr. Mike: I know. That’s what’s so perplexing. After the Montana win I thought Coach Mental had their
guys rolling. But it’s college football as indicated by this week’s results. Coach Plough will have the boys focused and prepared. They’ll give it their best in Cheney.

Idaho has been plagued with QB injuries. Lost QB3 last hight. PSU showed they deserve respect. And NAU is an up and coming team. Weber is a head scratcher. I was viewing them as a possible dark horse in the conference. SS needs leadership. One poster on their site is wondering how long will TT
last at Stanford. Maybe he’ll come back to SS. SCHADENFREUDE?

Great Aggies win! All facets of the game clicked. But Poly is not a good team. I expected a better game from them. Jet lag? I dunno. Davis is entering the meat of the season. This win should generate good momentum going into the EWU game. But remember it’s the inferno. Go Ags!

Poly and EWU will not be easy games. Take the damn points when they’re there. (Two weeks in a row now?) And I agree, do your homework and prepare for the next game. We’ll do fine. Just one game at a time. Glad to see the Aggies finish strong today.

I’m confident there will be other opportunities for Davis in the future. Perhaps this was not the opportune time to participate. We don’t have to throw ourselves at the FBS. We are not that desperate. I bet the Pac offered Gonzaga a sweet deal to join. I agree we are light years ahead of our neighbors to the East. But we must not sit on our laurels. If our AD is serious about his stadium rendering, perhaps it’s time for serious discussions.
Winning programs bring in students and fans. Let’s make the playoffs this year. Go Ags!

ESPN is coming to Berkeley this Saturday for College Game Day (6am pst). The Bears game with Miami is at 7:30pm. My son and I saw CAL beat Miami in the Emerald Bowl at Oracle and it was packed. Will be interesting to see how well the featured game will draw. CAL has had challenges getting folks to attend late games. Prime time slots are for reserved for the top teams. So what’s my point? Will SS be able to consistently draw for football and basketball games with a move up? I personally would not have interest in any of the proposed Pac schools, except Gonzaga. But that’s me.

Was at the game Saturday. Great to see the Aggies pull out a win! Eck’s arrogance cost him crucial points. Aggies need to work on closing out games better. Don’t make it so exciting in the final minutes of the 4th qtr!

Nice seeing the freshman storm the field. The rally group need to coach them up to be loud on crucial times. Would have been easy to drown out the small Vandal contingent just North of them. Let’s dispense the star wars march on third down. It’s getting annoying.

The Tedford years were exciting times for CAL Football. It precipitated the long overdue remodel/earthquake retrofit of Memorial and the building of the performance center. Post-Tedford, it has been a struggle. Subscription seating did not go over as well as expected and debt payment has been supplemented by their general fund. Now that they have jumped to the ACC the stakes are even higher. Is this something UCD wants to do? Granted not on this scale. I value having academically minded athletes. We play in a well respected Big Sky Conference. This realignment will only dilute the quality of play.

Looking forward in attending this Saturday’s game. I’ve always been enamored by the 2018 Season and was excited that Coach Plough has come back to Davis. My question for you all, did some of the older consultants like Sam Young make the difference? I kinda miss those “silver foxes.”
Cody Hawkins had a nice tenure under his Dad here. That continues in Pocatello. Their test comes this weekend when they host Montana State.

A work in progress best describes Aggie Football. Went to the home opener last night and pleased to see a nice crowd. Lots of mistakes, Plough has his work cut out for him. Too bad the Aggies made the fourth quarter closer than it should have been. Was looking forward in seeing our QB2 get some reps.
Giving Larison 28 carries concerns me. It’s a long season.
Other observations:
The Star Wars music gets redundant.
Athletic Dept needs to have more info on the paid parking. Several folks like us, were getting help from the parking attendants with the app. Fortunately there were plenty of them to assist. Found out we can prepay online and bring a hardcopy to leave in the vehicle.
Otherwise, the gameday experience was good. Go Ags!
