This is an unusual year. With extended eligibility, and record transfers, maybe they're banking on a lot of HS prospects being looked over.

If we got 2-3 impact players and 3-4 role players, I'd be happy.

Coach Tucker brought several JC impact players his first year - including a DT and LB.

Cody Hawkins & Josh Thompson (WR coach) the drivers here? Unsure if Coach Hawkins hits the recruiting trail.

SJSU looks to be very deep at WR. SJSU: "2019: Saw action in all 12 games... Caught six passes for 118 yards and a touchdown... ... His first major college touchdown catch was a 30-yard pass from quarterback Nick Nash at Air Force (9/27)"

Multi sport in HS including track, volunteered for multiple charities, looks like a high character young man.

Does anyone know how we evaluate transfers? Do they take a physical, workout?

In the early 80s on campus dorms were $200 a month, and fees ranged between $100 - 200 per quarter? Fees only started to spike after Carter, went up to maybe $600, then back down. That's all after RR left Sacramento.

There are lots of articles on the topic - here are snippets from one.

Education Week: Why Has the Cost of College Outpaced Inflation?

    April 18, 2019
Guest post by Dr. Douglas Green

"While summarizing Guy Kawasaki’s latest book, Wise Guy, I read that his Stanford tuition in 1972 was $2,850 and that today it’s $62,000.

"According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI Inflation Calculator, if Stanford tuition increased at the pace of overall inflation, it would be $17,007 today. That means that Stanford tuition has increased 3.64 times faster than general inflation. Other colleges are in the same boat more or less.

Higher education is run almost exclusively by Progressives. In California, we've been led largely by Democrats, save for a few GOP Governors. I haven't read the official reports, but have heard we have layers of bureaucracy.

I know Student Affairs has numerous officials and managers that never existed before. The dining commons are now almost gourmet. On campus housing is outrageous, increases in costs far outstripping inflation. For what, square boxes that reach platinum energy consumption? Was it really cost effective to build a new Castillion complex instead of retrofit it?

Politicos are beating the war drums w Russia, and this is the front page of the Bee?

    Mangled, negative, wrong title.

You guys are the experts, not me. 6'6", 230, broad shoulders & athletic. I'm puzzled. Lack of speed (explosion) for DE or lack of top competition?

I recall being puzzled why Ryan Parenteau had few offers, and some interested colleges backed away. Stellar high school career, limited tape showed a beast. I posted about him several times. We finally signed him, what a steal.
  • MBB: Aggies (7-4, 0-0) at Cal Poly (3-10, 0-2) 7 pm Saturday 1/15
Les played 8, 5 played over 32 minutes. It looks like Les doesn't trust his bench.

SLO balanced minutes across their 8.

I saw Jesuit basketball play this week, and he is their third best player. (Their second best player is Peja Stojaković's son.) Wallin got well above the rim for one dunk, and guarded a 310 pound Center (he's good, and only a Soph). MBB should look at Jesuit's two guards, Stojaković (6'7" Jr) and Jayden Teat (JT, 6'2" Jr). Both probably Pac12 bound.

I have no idea how tough their football league is. His 5 sack game came against Sheldon, all recorded in the first half, including 3 in a row.
