It’s so laughable the idea of dropping football. It brings so much joy to alumnae. It keeps us connected to the university in such a special way. We cannot expect to excel based on attrition.

If that is the message we get from the AD especially with all the nuanced messages regarding moving on up, we need a new AD. Simple as that. And if we want to play with the big boys and girls we need to be ready to show these people the door a lot quicker. That’s just how business is done. No handouts. None of us paid tuition or donate for lackadaisacal efforts.

We need to move to FBS.

It’s going to happen, I just don’t know when.

I hope we don’t just have a “concept of a plan”.

Let’s be realistic. If we play Cal, UCLA, USC, Michigan…whomever. I am driving from LA to Davis with an Outback full of Aggies and potentially UCLA/Cal/Stanford co workers in it. That will happen many times over. I am not doing that for EWU, Montana State, SUU…you get the picture.

We are next to Napa for Christs sake. You know how many people from those big name schools will come for that alone?

I am all for this. We honestly need to address this with the Chancellor. That’s the only way things can change rapidly.

Yes. I wish we could stop using it. I wish we could just use the font on the sign at the entrance near Dutton Hall. The one that is on the brick.

Our license plate frames suck because of that weird double font UC Davis font.
