As one of the 10000 whooping it up when I saw Rex in the wildcat, I’m not gonna second guess it now.

Seriously, how many times have you seen an injury from a power run like that? Hopefully it’s not as serious as we fear. Hopefully his brother’s trip to the tent isn’t serious

Holy crap….we’re somewhere in the 16.5 to 17.5 point favorite range. Plough seems quietly confident in discussing the game but I’m really shocked at that spread.

We were big favorite at UTU….so, I guess that’s why they make them play the games!

There are no urinals but there’s toilets. Was we hoping for Candlestick Park style trough?

We could have had them dress at the Pavillion - that’s about the distance visitors walk at SUU. I think last year, the team stayed on the field rather than hoof it back.

BTW, they averaged about 4000 a game last season so they might be a source of some of his butt hurt.

yeah, he was a bit of a grump about that. He really bristled when the hist t as liked about the facility and that it was something they could shoot for.

I was there! That was a slugfest. Weber had a really good punt returner and our punting held him in check all night.

I think the 17k was high - probably had to estimate the number of freshmen coming into the building. But it was larger than any crowd I’ve seen. 14k might be more realistic.

The number I know are correct are 1 and 3…..SUU’s record which should be most important to the coach. Why the heck was he paying attention to the attendance announcement when the game was still in the balance?

I think the deep/medium passing will pick up. We had one drive Saturday where he missed 3 wide open passes in a row when we had really good field position; hit one of those and the drive continues and maybe we score again. Other than that sequence, i thought he was accurate and made good decisions. He hasn't hit the long ball, but on most of them the receiver has been well covered (maybe TOO well covered!).

I didn’t get my tickets through Davis, so we were sitting in the opposite end zone - just above where the winning TD happened, surrounded by some angry, disappointed Stanford fans!

from the press conference and from my eyeball test, there was an emphasis on getting to the QB -> it seemed like we were blitzing more in the first half than i can remember use doing. that led to some pickups on 3rd downs that extended drives and kept the defense on the field a long time. i think that led to them getting worn down which led to poor tackling. SUU seemed to attack the edges, especially in the second half, and got big gain after big gain.

That being said, we held them to 7 non-garbage time points in the 2nd half.

maybe the offense improved with the change at QB?
  • Aggie Pack Fan Council
Looking at the names, there is one active board member - maybe he will see this and reply.

Also an Aggie Hall of Famer on the list.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned by the renovated water tower (touchdown tower) looks presto cool from the east side. Nice lighting. Supposed to be ready without the scaffolding by homecoming.

My question at the Alumni Zoom : so, coach, you just took at 36-27 lead in the fourth quarter and have momentum, what's the thought process of kicking a pooch kick (after kicking them deep successfully after the first kickoff)? that could have been a huge swing had they not stalled (fumbled) deep in our zone. That, and the delay of game at our 10 or so with 3rd and 2 were potential big swings (the delay led to a touchdown......i just cant figure how we get a delay at that point with all timeouts).

boy, poor Vargas and Fisher looked so uncomfortable under the limelight. But, handled the questions as easily as the Thunderbird defense.
  • Weber State @ UC Davis
I agee. I can't think of an Aggie game that had more explosive plays on offensive and special team (and expletive on that damned pouch kick!). this team has weapons all around. I fear we lost Williams but Dixon and Simpson are more than enough.

This might explain the small spread in the Montana State game:

‘ … Both teams had only six possessions as No. 4 Montana State shut out Mercyhurst 17-0. Mercyhurst had a 19-play drive that lasted 10 minutes, 55 seconds – and it ended with a punt.’

11 minutes and a punt? Crazy

I bet they get them over there early enough. It’s gonna be hard enough to check in that many
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
Oddsmakers have us as 6.5 point favorites but predictions are closer (like 31-28). Not an easy opener
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
that’s a good typo! I’m telling my grandkids to eat big before the game cuz concessions will be bad. The Bruce Edwards room is now the football alumni room with no-host bar - I could probably make some money buying beer for people - no lines!

no, I wasn’t going to many games then. I can i picture in my head watching a dark, grainy broadcast of that game and thinking I wasn’t looking forward to Stanford. I think I purchased season tickets in 2005 but only attended the day games.
