Acia was a very unsung hero in Vargas’ absence (an NFL talent). Had some quality runs the past few weeks and gave Fisher some much needed rest. He got tossed in the fire and thrived!

Before today I watched ZERO minutes of hornet football, but i heard alot about this innovative’GO-GO’ offense…..and we get a power run game out of the 40’s! 17 yards of passing? I don’t recall any wrinkle in the run game - just power between the tackles.

We’re so lucky we didn’t have to deal with injuries like them!

Idaho State deserves it before NAU or Sac. Brutal schedule and finished strong.

this email is for season ticket holders only. They’ll release tickets to general soon. Not sure how student tickets work

the answer is yes. My season tickets have increased significantly over the past 5 years and I believe that they are using dynamic pricing to pump up the price for certain games like today.

In 2022, Team Aggie cost $225 for 5 games; $300 this year.

I really think they’re length and quick, coupled with the altitude, let them pull away. I was looking at the play by play, and their big guy went out at 10:40 with foul trouble - Niko’s free throws got it to 60-59 us. We got a stop and 3 pointer to push it to 63-59 with a little less than 10 to go. That’s when they took off. We had no answer for Bak on either end - his passing from inside out really got us out of sync.

I think Stokes’ early foul trouble shortened the bench which may have led to some fatigue. But, in that last 10 minutes, we often had Wilson, Sevilla and Fagbemi out there vs their really long team. Wore us down on both ends.

Good effort, especially digging out of scary 10-0 hole. We’re gonna need someone like Stokes to step up (Rawlins doesn’t seem strong enough at this point), along with some big man support ( Noudjihidi?) for Niko. And to continue to beat that dead horse, Daugherty brings length that we are lacking.

Good effort - tough 3-4 minute stretch that let them pull away.

    I like this team.

I sure hope we see Daugherty soon

80-71 at the 4:00 break. Seemed like the game changed when their big guy went out with foul trouble - they got more athletic and longer and that really bogged down our offense. Bring the big guy back!

67-63 them at the 8:00 break. We haven’t hit a FG in 4 minutes - their length is causing us to rush things on offense. Let’s see what Les draws up out of the break.

I’m only negative about this repeating Big Shack commercial. Thank god got mute

Up 1 at the 12 minute time out.

Poor stokes seems snake bit. Can’t get his shot to go down and picked up 4 early fouls. Seems like he needs one easy bucket to get the monkey off his back and become a scoring threat.

Ags ain’t backing down. Offensive movement is looking good. Defense has settled. Rocek is a beast

44-39 at the half after closing strong. Sevilla is having a tough time getting separation - they have a lot of length. Wilson has kept us in the game, as well as us doing a much better job of protecting the ball
  • MBB: UC Davis (3-1) at Colorado (4-0), Friday Nov. 21, 6 pm
Down 29-20 with 6 to go. 2-9 from 3’s - if that doesn’t improve it’s gonna be a long night cuz getting to hoop is going to be tough.

15 point underdogs tonight…..but I suspect Poly had similar odds last night, so hopefully we shoot lights out too!

keep in mind that revenue sharing starts next year. The 3 major conferences will be paying everyone at least something in the $100k range. We’ll be able to cover their summer time rent. We’ll be much more on par with the mountain west and pac-whatever, but getting monthly paycheck from an ACC or Big10 school is tough to pass up.

I thought basketball would be a priority since we want to get up to MW standards ASAP. It will be interesting to see a timeline.

my last year was 81 and it wasn’t called that. They had an old carriage they wheeled out as a ‘trophy’ but there was no title for the game

Cal poly beat Utah 92-85! That’s a big win

that’s a really nice upgrade from the old Hive. Looks like a pretty good environment to watch a game
  • 71st Causeway Classic: UC Davis vs. Sac State
kickoff returns are a BIG concern for me. Punt coverage has been good, but we seem to have at least kickoff returner each game into our side of the field. That just can’t happen

I think the defense has held up pretty well so far. Take away the pick-six last week and the last minute TD, and Bobcats have 24 points. Up to that last drive, we had held them to 350 or so yards - much better than the rest of the Big Sky has been able to do.

I've been more concerned about our redzone woes as of late. Vargas was a big weapon down there. We HAVE to eliminate mistakes inside the 20 and come away with 7's!
