Got the storm trooper look going today.

Anywhere from 3rd to 6th feels about right for the Ags. I could see us challenging for the top spots if either 1) underclassmen McGill, Murphy, or Bora really help out Angiwe in the paint on defense and rebounding, or 2) the perimeter play is so good it overcomes interior deficiencies (or a combination). First game is next Tuesday at Utah State (6:30 pacific time).

Thanks for posting those Russ. I do like the confidence from Langi. Looking forward to seeing who fills in at point guard. Obviously Hall will be a focal point, but we'll need some additional help on the perimeter. Maybe Burns and Langi both get a lot of PT.

I wouldn’t think so. But sometimes with these exhibitions the goals of the coaches might be different. WJ might of really wanted to put on a good show in front of a packed home crowd, so perhaps they went with tried and true lineups. Whereas Les might of been working on specific sets or player combinations to see how things work in a real game situation (Adeybayo starting for instance). I know with about 4 mins or so left we took out Manjon and put in DeBruhl at point. That won’t happen in the regular season but maybe Les just wanted to give the freshman a little taste. Speaking of DeBruhl, really interested to see how he develops.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not happy that it was a close game, I just don’t want to over react too early.

No doubt that this offense will resemble last years where we struggled for, sometimes long, stretches. Winning/losing will depend a large part on an active defense and solid rebounding.

It’s really hard to draw too many conclusions from an exhibition game box score. Was it just a matter of missing a few open threes that we’ll normally make or we’re we not getting open at all? Was the defensive effort lacking or was it a matter of missing assignments that will get cleaned up with more practice. It’s certainly not a great sign obviously

I was planning on going but have my booster shot scheduled for 6:15 so I guess I won’t get there in time to see much. Maybe it’ll be streamed

We've parked at Emerson Elementary in Berkeley for games. Funds go to their PTA and they have an attendant to watch over the cars. It's about a 15 minute walk to the stadium. It's worked out well for us in the past.

Nick Amoha (left tackle) should be fine. I'm not sure if he went back in after half, but I've heard he was doing well after the game. Haven't heard about the right tackle but I'll see if I can find anything out.
