  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Here's from 1987 (the Non-Album). I swear I'm not the out of tune trumpet.

This may have been mentioned before, but Underwood is no longer on the roster. Not sure what happened, but however thin we were in the interior just became thinner. I guess we'll see if a bunch of 6-6 and 6-7 guys can defend the paint and get rebounds.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
I was in band with Troy. There is no one who loves the band, and bleeds blue and gold, more than Troy.

    Go Ags!
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
I met my future wife in the band and still regularly get together with a lot of band alumni, many of whom are female. They are some of the strongest most well rounded women I know. They would all tell you that their time in band was a vital part of their growth. Of course individual issues need to be dealt with, but I doubt you’d find many that agree with this report.

Nice catch. Yeah, hopefully it's something he'll get over by November.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
A sad day. I hope that some of the positives of the band are carry-forward.
  • Mahalia White returns
    That's awesome news!
  • Is it odd that the WBB roster is still not out?
We are a little thin in the back court with the twins graduation (plus 2 walk-ons that were on the roster last year no longer are), so it wouldn't surprise me to see both Gray and Turner get minutes this year. As for the middle with Jones and Lilly, it'll depend both on how far along their games are and the need at the backup center position. Gibb has struggled her whole career with injuries, so that might play a factor, too. Roster size is only 14, and that includes Svanholm, so it's possible that the remaining 13 dress (I believe 13 is the limit to how many players can dress for a game), though I'm not sure they want to waste a years worth of eligibility for someone to sit on the bench. Jones' international experience might give her a leg up in transitioning to D1, so ideally, i'd think Lilly redshirts.
  • Prediction time!
I'm assuming for bowl games, or NCAA tournament games, there are alternate forms of funding that will get us where we need to be. Let's hope we have to worry about travel to Frisco.
  • Prediction time!
AB 1887 prohibits state funds used for travel to these 10 states: Alabama,
Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. I assume there are ways around it, like using private funding instead of state funding for games in these states, but I'm not sure that makes the most sense for our program.
  • Is it odd that the WBB roster is still not out?
I've been wondering that myself. I seem to recall it was posted relatively late last year, too.
  • 2019-20 WBB
The complete 19-20 schedule has been posted here. @Minnesota seems to be the biggest addition to what we had already posted.

  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
Well there is at least one person in Chicago looking forward to the Loyola-Chicago game. My daughter is now in grad school just down the road at UChicago, so she's excited to have the Aggies in town.
  • 2019-20 WBB
Nice. It looks like BU is stopping off in Davis before the play Cal.
  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
It's rough to build any type of student excitement when 2 of the 4 OOC home games are against lower levels schools no one has heard of, a third is against a mid-west school hardly anyone out here cares about, and the only reasonably interesting home game (LMU) is during break. But this seems to be the norm.
  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
Well, not much of a home schedule. With all the new guys, it feels like 8-8 would be a pretty good record going into conference play.
  • RedRum Closes today!
Not sure it qualifies as "Iconic" but Woodstock's, which has been around since the early '80s, is still going strong. The downtown Baskin-Robins has been around a long time, as has the Varsity Theater, though it has undergone several renovations throughout the years.

It's going to eventually be an imposing front line.
