I'm glad the Big Sky saw the importance of Davis/Poly on the last weekend. Hopefully now that Sac ditched, Big Sky will schedule Davis/Poly like this every year.

I agree completely that the CalExpo thing is a terrible idea. Its very possible that once football leaves campus, it will never be back. IMO the current Hornet Stadium is in about the best physical spot its ever going to be. They should raise funds for 3-5 years and rebuild it. Just do the damn thing right.

I'm not understanding the utter panic from Sac on this.....I mean, Davis isn't freaking out, nor anyone else in the Big Sky about the FCS disappearing in the next 2 years.
I've been saying this is a resume builder for Wood since the beginning- "See? I got an FCS program to FBS and a stadium built in record time".....even though this isn't even in the best interest of CSUS seeing as they are nowhere near ready to do this. The entire thing has been bizarre.

Its gonna start getting hard to keep players around the longer they have 3 games scheduled for next year.....

Good news. *edit* Gbatu had his 1st half suspension vacated on appeal to the NCAA.
I enjoyed Plough's comments on Nate Rutchena.

Is it because he's about 170 lbs? Maybe trying to keep him from getting banged up? He does have 80 carries on the year which is 10th in the conference (Gillman leads with 142). Vargas has 59 carries, which combined with Fisher puts us right up there at 139 total carries.

I called the ticket office to ask. They informed me that GA tickets are not sold out, and that they are only selling GA seats over the phone for these last two games.
I asked why and he wasn't sure, but we both kinda hinted around Sac issues. He mentioned something like "they want to control the crowd."
It doesn't make sense to implement this a week early for ISU though.

I'm guessing the effort is to sell out the West side, and then open up the GA for online sales, but who knows.

I also still think we could be dealing with someone getting their hand slapped about more than 10,000 people being in the ballpark. This seems to come up randomly, and without a satisfactory explanation.

Echoing this. They are much improved from last year, but I expected a better performance from them, especially at home.

I can't find Sam's poll from last week, but I assume he had Davis at 7 as well.

Tough schedule for the Bengals this season. IMO they are 1-6 ...Lincoln doesn't even count.
