Reno is a cool roadie. Been up there for football. It reminded me of Weber (Ogden).

San Jose State is closest for me, but not super stoked on that trip.
I'm thinking the UNLV trip is a must at least once.

I'm not sure they'd want to be affiliated due to our honest and sometimes dissenting opinions lol We also might be better off unaffiliated (policed).....

We need a Team Store in the stadium. This needs to be open every game.....and in the future it should be open most days to the public for walk-ins and for folks who want a peek inside the stadium.

If we run into trouble, Dave & Busters is across the street as well.

They've won 23, 24, and 30 games over the past 3 seasons. Winning always helps. They don't play in a sexy conference with "big" or "popular" schools, so it might be a combo of having an nice new(ish) arena, winning some games, and being the only game on campus?

Our new basketball conference mates GCU have made basketball games the place to be. It can be done at Davis with football.

I can see the Dakota's relying on eachother and sticking together as a means to survive. I agree, if the Bison move its kicks the other Dakotas into gear.

Chancellor is definitely not announcing anything football-related until after the playoffs.

I've noticed a very different leadership style between Sac and Davis Chancellors/Athletics Departments. Davis works quietly behind the scenes, Sac shoots their load online every 3 days......

Both styles may be equally effective in the end, but interesting to watch.

I was loving that he turned over a couple punts. A lost art in the NCAA!

For those who have only experienced the rugby-style punting of the last 10-15 years, "turning it over" is a spiral- nose up on the way up, nose down on the way down. The ball seems to carry farther like this. It can be a thing of beauty.

I'm sure their athletics budgets are larger than those in the BW. This will up our game.
Just to be clear...I'm not complaining about these MWC schools.....

We share academic reputation with like-institutions in the Big West.
The 4 other UC's and Poly.

The Air Force Academy (in my opinion) is the only institution on our level academically.....but like I said, nobody seems to care about this type of thing anymore with all the realignment. Its all about TV revenue anyway....

Academic prestige in conference affiliation is no longer a "thing." Just an interesting evolution in NCAA athletics. Pac-10 / Big Ten used to care about it a lot.

One fact remains: the Big Sky is a very stable spot for Davis football.
