  • WEEK 11: UC Davis @ Idaho
Shame on me for falling for the ucdavisaggies.com roster again!
  • Plough's name coming up as a possibility for Oregon State
Might be hard for Marion to land anything during / after this season. He is linked to the Sac circus as of now. Not a lot of programs are going to want to bring in someone tied to such instability. Especially right after being fined by his conference.

With that said, if he's offered close to a million bucks in the FBS I bet he jumps before Causeway even kicks off.

I believe that was #34 Kai Acia. A junior who went to HS with Pinnick.

    Is Totton injured?
Haven't seen JJ Cravin play yet. Not ready, or injured?

    Both are true freshmen.

What else could go wrong if he left. Its like this entire endeavor was never going to work.

If he leaves it says a lot about how he feels about Wood. I would argue Wood has made things more difficult for him, not easier.

I do not believe Plough said Pinnick was less than physically 100%
Correct me if I'm wrong. I think people on this board alluded to that, but not the HC.
  • WEEK 11: UC Davis @ Idaho
HULU Live has been really good for me for years now.
  • Idaho State @ UC Davis
This I agree with. Maier and Hastings are great examples of this type of QB at Davis.

Pinnick has all the raw athletic stuff to a greater extent than those two great QBs. He is going to be a great one in year 3 & 4 if he continues to develop. He clearly has the work ethic.
  • Idaho State @ UC Davis
We have some issues, but Caden Pinnick 'aint one of them.

The kid completed 71% of passes passes in a 2 pt. loss. 1 INT was tip (I still believe the second defender was blocked from his vision on that 1st INT- a fluke, not necessarily a bad decision).
Incredible to me that of all the things that went wrong on Saturday, he would be questioned.

His season completion percentage is 70%. If you remove the Washington game its nearly 72%
He has added a dimension to the offense we've been sorely missing for a long time- the ability to create with his legs. He's won 5 (arguably 6) games and put up incredible stats.

He is the starter because the staff believes he is the best QB on the team, that's all that matters.
He is doing young-QB-things, of course. But the great has faaarrrrr outweighed the bad.
  • Idaho State @ UC Davis
I'm not sold on Caden as the starter.Sailorgabe

I've never disagreed more on a take, respectfully.
  • Big Sky Football Games Week 11
    Yep. Only 3 games left.

This team can win all 3.
  • Stadium Renovation hopes, fears, expectations
I hope we don't get into a lopsided stadium situation. I really like that we have a bowl, and I hope we keep that shape.
  • Idaho State @ UC Davis
Sorry, but I'm putting this one on the HC.

    General thoughts:
Every team is injured this time of year. Some more than others, some injuries are more important than others. Were we the 6th best team in the country with "5 All-Americans out"? Probably not.
The Ags were finding ways to win, but its really tough out there when getting down into the depth chart. Our depth guys are balling, no doubt there.

IMO Doss probably won the Ags 2-3 games in 2018 (generally being undefendable at times). Lan won the Ags 2-3 games in 2024 (generally being untacklable at times- think the 4th quarter at Sac).

Davis is getting really close to a top-tier FCS program. Dakotas/Montanas on top, with Davis just below. The top-tier doesn't seem to have to lean on the one-dominant-player thing.
I'm not saying we don't have loads of talent, because we do, but I'm talking about the game-changers (Doss, Lan, Rex, CJ). Top-tier just seem to have more guys like that (NFL guys).
