[2009] I was at Boise State with a couple of others on this thread. Boise State was ranked 5th, and although many at Boise State thought we were D2, we kept up with them the entire game.

I just came across a comment in another thread in which SochorField made a great point about why we are so interested in Sacramento State's efforts.

This situation is intriguing, and we will soon discover which method is more effective.

I read that we were in discussions with the Mountain West (MW) and the West Coast Conference (WCC) regarding all sports. If we had joined the WCC, the chances for FCS participation would be inevitable. The MW gives me hope, but knowing we had even these conversations doesn't leave me optimistic. I hope I'm wrong.

Some sports could end up in the WCC, while others may remain in the Big West.

I’m a bit worried that we were also talking to the WCC. That might give us some clues about the future of FBS football.

I’d guess we stay FCS. I hope I’m wrong too.
