Was anyone aware of Cole Tannenbaum, a player from Oaks Christian who walked on at Arizona and rose to be the #2 QB, coming here?

That's news to me. Although I did see a post on social media of him training with a QB coach in the Spring. The caption was "UCD QB" and I was confused. ha

So who's #3?

Plough also mentioned as a QB Trevor from San Diego. Which must be Trevor Taumoepeau who committed on December but who I think is a walkon

There were a couple additional QBs that I had heard were going to be there about the time when Kollock came in. I also heard someone was on an LDS mission and would be joining the room, but not sure if that is one of these guys or someone else. I know Plough is a QB guy, but man, there are a lot of them on roster! Guess has been moved to WR, any other potential moves to TE or Safety you think?

The QB on a mission is Ty Miller from Clovis East.
Miller committed to play quarterback at UC Davis, but he won't start his freshman year until 2027. Miller understands he is likely to end up at another position. He said so in an hometown media interview.
Plough didn’t mention yesterday the QB from Idaho, Jack Brant.

Anything to see practice-wise this weekend in person?

I'd love to be at practice this weekend in person! Aint happening though. Here's what I'd be most curious about:

1. Overall QB "battle". Rep distribution, how'd they look/execute
2. How's the Tight End group? I thought the Cal/Fortuna kid came on towards the end of spring, looked more athletic than he did early. Williams back at 100 yet?
3. Who's playing LT and are they holding up? Guessing it was the 6'3" kid with RT experience who they moved in spring
4. Who is RB2 and RB3?
5. How are Porter and Rex progressing?
6. Is the DL as good as I think they are?
7. What's the story on the Kicker spot?

I think I remember Plough saying something about liking the 100 degree heat during the fall preseason camp. I guess he feels like it adds a layer of adversity and helps the players get used to competing in the heat and helps them get into shape. It looks like he got his wish with the forecast showing multiple 100 degree days in the week ahead. The heat will be less in the mornings but it's still gonna be hot!

Wow. This is interesting. How could it affect us?

Only person I could see coming back that this would help is Ian Simpson of maybe Jayden Stanley given our lack of depth at those spots. Issue would be getting them enrolled in school in time for the season. This is also assuming they are still in football shape.

It only applies to class of ‘22 players who exhausted their eligibility in four years, in other words never redshirted. Both Stanley and Simpson started in ‘21.. Rocak in ‘20
