Based on what I saw, it looks like ESPN+ is dumping a lot of the bad broadcast quality games to FCS schools...ie, they aren't even bothering to broadcast FCS vs. FCS games.

I notice that a defensive quality control analyst, Nick Murray who is still listed on our hibernating 2026 roster, is now an inside linebacker coach at San Diego. San Diego is picked by the coaches to win the Pioneer conference, in a close vote. Last year San Diego beat then #24 Southern Utah.

Dude, Lamson's back for another season? He was listed as a senior last year...yup, 6th year, played all season as a 'senior'. Guess he didn't really play much at Syracuse his RFr. year - had an season ending injury, so yeah, he gets the 6th season, like Rex and Porter did. Well, the Dowlers are back, Lamson's back -- good luck going against that FCS.

All Big Sky home games will be on espn+ with the exception of those that are picked up by an ESPN broadcast network. As a fan this is actually a better arrangement than the MW+ has for football.

I agree on the TV situation. Broadcasts aren't always the finest but you know where they'll be.

Attended practice as well as the lunch with coach today. It was well attended. I focused on the qb play. With my untrained eyes, i thought Treynor had the better finesse on the ball but they all have one helluva good arm. We’ll have a great qb this year with any of them as a starter.

Scrimmage on Sunday according to the Training Camp website. Sailor Gabe needs to come to port and hook us up with some sideline reporting. I'm sure there will be a few of y'all out there, I look forward to the Monday morning breakdown.

What are the chances they will post a roster before the scrimmage? There should be about 25 additions who are not listed, and likely a few players listed are not on the team.

I would set longshot odds at having an updated roster by Sunday. It is hard to fathom that a Top 5 program in the FCS struggles with such things.

In one of the threads, someone recently posted that Sports Information once had 3 full-time employees, but as a result of budget cuts is now manned by interns and students. If that's accurate, that's why inaccurate rosters and poorly written articles will continue to be SOP.

IF athletics and campus admin truly believe that athletics are the front porch of the university, they should realize that a competent Sports Information Department is like the welcome mat.

The roster could be done by students but someone needs to supervise them by assigning the task, standardize the labels that are going to be used to indicate class or eligibility, and then having someone involved with the team sign off on the output after catching errors. For example someone who knows that a HS recruit who enrolls in the Spring isn’t a sophomore in the Fall. It seems like this task has not had anyone responsible for it.

Brock Galvin in his interview with Jordan Fisher says Fisher is a four year senior and comments that that is rare. It is not. Fisher redshirted as a freshman playing in only four games, so he traditionally would have been described as a red shirt junior, same with most of the other seniors. This is a manifestation of the confusion the roster creates by listing players with the same eligibility in various ways.

Rex Connors and Samuel Gbatu Jr. Named To East West Shrine Bowl 1000

DAVIS, Calif. — Already tabbed on multiple preseason Big Sky and All-American lists, UC Davis football seniors Rex Connors and Samuel Gbatu, Jr. have been tabbed as two of 40 FCS players to be named to the East West Shrine Bowl 1000.

UC Davis is one of nine FCS schools to feature multiple players in this year's 1000.

What time does the scrimmage start? Practice schedule says 9-11am....but not sure if the scrimmage is at the end or what...
