Weber State’s stadium is really nice. I didn’t have any time to explore the area. St George has the advantage of a great location if you want to explore all the national and state parks. But, as someone mentioned, stadium and game experience is lousy.

I'm with , Weber if you have a chance and we're selecting a football experience and not a camping trip.

St. George was a unique experience. It felt like another planet. It was my fist time in that part of Utah.
I enjoyed Weber State as well. Flying into Salt Lake and seeing that area was cool. Weber has a nice stadium, as does Utah Tech. I've never been to Southern Utah, but many on here have.

I say go to both WSU and SUU! If I had to choose one it'd be Weber for ease of travel and atmosphere.

The SUU experience - especially the stadium experience - left a little to be desired. It's interesting with the whole Coliseum concept, but if improvements haven't been made since 2013 (last I saw it) - then you might be disappointed, still lovely country though, and as someone who has seen both - I think St. George has better expansion potential, better proximity to Vegas and a really cool town, nice people, the students showed out pretty well for the Davis game last year, and it was a tough game, they played hard, Aggies just outclassed them in the skill game, but Utah Tech could go on a run if they can find a quarterback to lead them and the murder schedules finally end.

Also, to St. George's credit, we were having a few pops around campus and nobody gave us any kind of a hard time. Also, BOTH schools need to ditch the track - but everybody's got budgets...thing is, Utah schools have a lot of space, they should separate facilities.

That would be great but I think that is an error. Ruchena transferred from Cal to the Aggies in 2025 as a graduate student and played the entire season for the Ags. I believe he has used up all of eligibility. I'd love to be wrong!

Samuel used to do analytical stuff in which he was very good. He is now pumping out videos sometimes multiple per day seemingly going for quantity over quality. I have noted several errors in his videos which I attributed to not spending enough time prepping.

The blue bloods spend more time prepping and are quite knowledgeable but have a more sedate delivery.

The roster published by Davis has too many errors. It is the authority for who is on the roster, and they don’t take it seriously.

FCS Football Central Announces 2026 Preseason All-American Team

DAVIS, Calif. — Six UC Davis football standouts have earned 2026 FCS Football Central Preseason All-America honors, tying South Dakota State for the second-most selections among all FCS programs.

Samuel Gbatu Jr., Porter Connors and Rex Connors were named to the First Team, while Jordan Fisher, Winston Williams and Drew Cofield earned Second Team recognition. The Aggies are one of 40 programs represented on this year's teams, which feature 83 student-athletes from 11 conferences.

Tracks on football fields are real downers. The stands are almost too close to the field in Missoula but it makes for a much better fan experience.

Yep. But i was referring to the proximity of their fans to the game with the resulting noise factor. As i recall it took us the first half to figure it out.

both of the last times we won in Missoula the third quarter was pivotal if I recall.

I remember Plough said something to the effect of third quarter being a different environment because fans aren’t back to their seats yet

I remember Plough making a similar comment but i think it may have been about the 2018 game.
In 2024, Davis gave up a touchdown and the lead after an exchange of punts gave Montana a possession in UCDs side of the field. Davis took the lead back near the end of the 3rd quarter. Davis dominated the 4th quarter.

By all reports two players are competing for the qb position, Pinnick and a player who was on the team as a freshman last year. Their first game is Sept.6, so fall camp starts about a week later than ours.

Plough said today at the Big Sky kickoff that the QB position will be decided after two or three weeks of camp.

I'd assume that Plough would like to nail down his starter sooner rather than later so he can get as many reps with the 1s as possible. It'll definitely be a different looking offense when compared to last season. Kollock and Cleeland can both run, but are gunslingers at heart from what their tape shows.
