Things get tougher for the Ags as the head to Eugene to play a Ducks team licking their wounds after losing five straight games to some tough teams, including #24 USC at Oregon. Hope we can catch them looking past us. Team stats are tricky due to the tough schedule Oregon has played, but they score 74.1 ppg while allowing 75.6.

They lost a major force in Nate Bittle, a 7 foot power forward who was leading them in rebounds and points when he sprained an ankle against San Diego State. His replacement, Sean Stewart is no slouch though. The 6’8” forward put up 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in their loss to Creighton. Bittle was back for their loss to UCLA, albeit rusty as he only contributed 3 points. Lucky us, he’ll probably be back in shape by the 13th. The Webfeet also have a solid point guard in Jackson Shelstad who averages 4.8 apg and is their second leading scorer with 13.5 ppg. He teams with Takai Simpkikns, another double digit scorer. Kwame Evans brings his 6’10” height to the front line. Stewart will likely be a starter against the Ags as Devon Pryor a key 6’6” forward has been battling health issues. Dezdrick Lindsay is a solid 6th man.

The Ags will be playing in only their second game in over three weeks, so they should be well rusted (I mean rested). It might not matter as Knight Court is a very tough place to play and the Ducks desperately need a win as they are currently in 18th place in the Big Ten. Between this game being on the Big Ten Network and overlapping with the football teams game against Illinois State, I can imagine not too many Aggie fans will be watching the whole game. I plan to watch the first hour, then switch to wherever the FCA game is.

I’m hoping we see Daugherty soon. He’d be a big boast

Pretty much the first thing I do when I get to a game, or turn on an away game, is see if Daughtery is dressed. Having additional experience off the bench would be valuable as we head into conference play.

he can get to the hoop and that’s something we could really use

I hope we see some increased offensive production from Suljanovic. I think he could be a very good shooting forward who could stretch the court for us with his inside out game. His highlight video show him draining 3's with a beautiful shot but it hasn't been falling for him yet this season.

Deleted question. I found an answer on my own.

agree. He looked really solid the first few games but seems to be a bit reserved on offense lately. Sometimes these guys just need an easy basket to get some confidence and get back in a groove.

13.5 point underdogs. Don’t think I’ll follow much past halftime since WIFI is so bad in Aggie Stadium

Not quite halfway through the first half and the Ags are down 20-4. Not sure if I want to keep watching. Ags shooting 9% from the floor.

Tough start. This is a talent level above Colorado and Nevada. Going to be a long day

Hard to believe these Ducks lost 5 in a row. It seems like they are taking this as a pride game and are playing with a lot of intensity. They're hitting nearly 60% now so 33-11.

This reminds me of the days when I was an undergrad and Bob Hamilton would go on the road to play Division 1 teams. We never saw them but the scores were very lopsided.

We can definitely play better than this but we also caught Oregon in tip top shape.

I forget who says it every year but we always come out the gate of a season hot and then slowly taper.
