Yeah, and interesting that Orr is no where to be found through all of this. I’ve mostly thought that Orr was good for them. But you’d think he would have at least showed up after the Big Sky levied the fines on Marion. But they’re done with the Big Sky so maybe it doesn’t matter to them (?).
on the Sac board, it has been discussed that Orr is in a weird spot because Marion fundamentally reports directly to Wood. I think Orr is a qualified AD, so I’d imagine he is looking for jobs at places with regular leadership. When the ship starts to really take on water, Wood isn’t going to let his own feet get wet; he’s going to find someone to blame and right now Orr has to know he’s sitting in the fall guy seat.
The new PAC-12 might have difficulty scheduling five non- conference games if they settle with eight teams in the conference. Will this help Sacramento State in scheduling games next year? However, the article below says that PAC-12 wants to schedule Power-4 teams for their elite schools to increase their chances of a playoff bid.
I would think most of the PAC already have a FCS team on the schedule- no way they’d play two. Plus, it would seem like they need to get their OOC games out of the way in the first 5 weeks - filling out the back half ain’t gonna be easy
