Great slate. Obviously that Montana/Idaho game sticks out but Northern Colorado/Id State is veryyyy interesting to me.

I think Northern Colorado has taken big steps this year. Its fun to see Idaho State and them starting to show some promise. Idaho State's renovated stadium is pretty nice now!

Wanted to note that UW plays Ohio State and I’m calling that game will be closer than a lot think. 3 point game in my opinion. Will make that L feel much better.

We got our hands full with Weber State, but that Idaho/Montana game is going to be lit

On ESPN2 as well. Good for the BSC.
Idaho really should have beat San Jose State.

I'm an idiot. Forgot my password and which email account I used. Might have been overserved in pre-game Saturday. Oh well, I've rallied!

UNC, Idaho State, and NAU are all much improved. Kudos to those coaching staffs, they're all pretty good.

Cal Poly-Sac will tell us a lot.

Not sure that Weber will bring the horsepower that Southern Utah did. I was really impressed with their running game throughout. Physical team. And they ran the same concept for two of their TD and two big first downs and we were nowhere to be found in coverage. Need to clean some things up defensively. On the bright side, our RBs played exceptionally fast, the OL was physical, and the QB progressed.

    Cheers-

J St. Tech seems to be figuring things out on offense since the 2nd half of the Mercyhurst game.
....They haven't really played anyone since week 1 when the offense was inept vs. SDSU (136 total yards). Time will tell....

Too bad Idaho/Montana isn't on earlier in the day.....that's a good background tailgate game.

maybe the offense improved with the change at QB?

I think Williams looks like way better fit @ QB.....maybe its his scrambling ability- he's a little faster than the more expensive guy.

I flipped between games, but I believe CP started on a tear, 7 for 7. We were on fire. After that, it appears his completion % was .55 and he missed some wide open receivers. After his 20-yard run it seemed he leaned towards running, unsure if protection collapsed, WRs covered, or happy feet. He needs to get down earlier on runs, he took a good lick, and we'd hate to see the young man suffer an jnjury. Love our two RBs.

Both SUU and Weber lack an active fan forum. We must have one of the most active boards in the big sky :).

Plough, like most high-level offensive playcallers with a young QB, scripted some easy throws and get it out quick concepts. CP's misses were on several of the 49'er-esque concepts with what looked like deep over routes, etc. if I'm not mistaken. He missed long on both so he may have just been excited and that's a good place to miss. His scrambling ability and his knack for extending plays is big-time. We're talking about a very young QB in a very complex Offense. It will take time and has he grows more comfortable with his internal clock, he'll complete those balls. Right now, as a young dude, things are still moving really fast for him at times when he needs to be settled.

Pinnick missed some medium to long range throws Saturday night that's for sure - a lot of QBs deal with that inconsistency. Would be nice to see a few more hit -- can't afford those misses against teams like Northern Arizona, Idaho, Montana State, Idaho State, Sac State...

Sac State now leads the nation in sacks with 18. In an interview on KCRA sports, Marion said he likes that his defense is getting sacks even when they aren't blitzing.

Sac State seems to be putting things together. With the size and speed on that roster, the only thing that could hold them back is negligent coaching or behavioral issues. Neither out of the realm over there.

    I've got Idaho beating Montana!

There is no evidence that Sac State lacks quality coaching. Their coaches have impressive background. While some of the players have questionable backgrounds, most do not. They have depth so bad apples can be bypassed. The only way i see them self destructing is if some of them are thinking about their next gig, in November.

Wonderful interview with Psyk. He exemplifies what the Aggie program is all about. He's humble and articulate and values academics as well as an excellent football program.

Jacob came to one of the coach’s luncheon. Aside from being smart and an excellent athlete, he is a very polite, humble guy and a total pleasure to visit with.

Montana schools are tops for sure. Sac has a decently active board. Idaho's active board is on 247 sports.

Sac only has a few members who are regularly active and they also have a few who explicitly call out other members. The hate for the Aggies seems to run deep and they often use crude names and homophobic slurs to describe the Ags. Some don't welcome fans from other teams either and quickly tell them to get the f... off their forum. SochorField wades in over there occasionally and just ignores getting flamed. Be sure you have a thick skin if you post over there.

I feel weird rooting for Cal Poly but I guess it's like rooting for your cousin (who you always want to one up but are family) in a competition with the school jock that you don't like.

The bottom half of the Big Sky except Portland State and EWU are actually decent this year.
