I think Northern Colorado has taken big steps this year. Its fun to see Idaho State and them starting to show some promise. Idaho State's renovated stadium is pretty nice now!
Wanted to note that UW plays Ohio State and I’m calling that game will be closer than a lot think. 3 point game in my opinion. Will make that L feel much better.
I'm an idiot. Forgot my password and which email account I used. Might have been overserved in pre-game Saturday. Oh well, I've rallied!
UNC, Idaho State, and NAU are all much improved. Kudos to those coaching staffs, they're all pretty good.
Cal Poly-Sac will tell us a lot.
Not sure that Weber will bring the horsepower that Southern Utah did. I was really impressed with their running game throughout. Physical team. And they ran the same concept for two of their TD and two big first downs and we were nowhere to be found in coverage. Need to clean some things up defensively. On the bright side, our RBs played exceptionally fast, the OL was physical, and the QB progressed.
J St. Tech seems to be figuring things out on offense since the 2nd half of the Mercyhurst game.
....They haven't really played anyone since week 1 when the offense was inept vs. SDSU (136 total yards). Time will tell....
Too bad Idaho/Montana isn't on earlier in the day.....that's a good background tailgate game.

I flipped between games, but I believe CP started on a tear, 7 for 7. We were on fire. After that, it appears his completion % was .55 and he missed some wide open receivers. After his 20-yard run it seemed he leaned towards running, unsure if protection collapsed, WRs covered, or happy feet. He needs to get down earlier on runs, he took a good lick, and we'd hate to see the young man suffer an jnjury. Love our two RBs.
Plough, like most high-level offensive playcallers with a young QB, scripted some easy throws and get it out quick concepts. CP's misses were on several of the 49'er-esque concepts with what looked like deep over routes, etc. if I'm not mistaken. He missed long on both so he may have just been excited and that's a good place to miss. His scrambling ability and his knack for extending plays is big-time. We're talking about a very young QB in a very complex Offense. It will take time and has he grows more comfortable with his internal clock, he'll complete those balls. Right now, as a young dude, things are still moving really fast for him at times when he needs to be settled.
