Getting some of the position coaches on the pod would be cool! They would have the best insights into what to expect from their groups going into the season.
See if you can track Kevin Blue down - curious to hear his perspective on how the transition is now shaping up. I think he's up in Canada running Admin for Canada Soccer. Maybe Jake Maier might know how to contact him.
Biggest topic I want to hear about is how well and when the transition will occur - realistic expectations for turnout given the necessary stadium upgrades, and of course, how do we match up in the Mountain West?
Great conversation with Scott Marsh. I really enjoyed it especially the discussion about Pinnick and the tough schedule we have to start the season with a young QB. Also liked the discussion about all the noise Sac has created across the causeway and it was nice to hear a bit about the new Aggie recruits for men's basketball too and Scott saying that the Ags have "some marquee games" scheduled for this fall. Exciting times for Aggie sports!
Scott mentions a lot of holes on defense, but not mentioned was that the defense has added quality transfers.
One of the interesting stories of this years team is that there may be as many as six or seven experienced new faces on D, including 3 players who were all conference at the FCS level, and 3 FBS transfers who played a lot at that level.
