    What did we give him?

It's incredible that Larison was so dedicated to being an Aggie that he would turn down that kind of money...wow...we are so fortunate to have him!

However, it's sad that the big schools with huge amounts of NIL money will now be able to try and buy the best FCS players and, you know what, you can't blame a lot of the kids who decide to move up for a big paycheck. There are a lot of college football and basketball players come from low income families and that kind of money could be huge for them and, even those who didn't come from disadvantaged backgrounds, would certainly be tempted to have that kind of money while they are in college. FBS schools are going to decimate the best talent in the FBS with offers of big bucks.

I have no idea but I can guarantee you it wasn’t what was offered by the SEC school. Maybe a pickup truck from the local Ford dealer (just kidding)

Yes, I think the fact that they were the first to offer him was huge. Of course, I don't fault Teddye for going to Cal. Honestly, that was a move that probably made more sense than some of the moves since probably all credits transfer between UC's. It's the players who transfer every year to some school halfway across the country that dries me nuts.
I don't think it had an impact but it was probably a plus that their family could travel to a game without breaking the bank. They went to the EWU game and of course go when they play at Idaho.

I wouldn't have blamed him for switching. $400k is wayyy more than I make.

Thank you. Still sucks that you all lost Skattebo. He was a scary player.

Just got home from the game. Finn, sochor field and I ended up sitting with the Hastings group. Fun folks. Slac was getting away with blatant holds all night and lordy, they were giving slac very generous spots. Some were literally right in front of us. The slacs runners body never got anywhere near the spot, like on the order of 2 extra yards. We’ll take the win. You just never know with these rivalry games.

The Hornets shredded the Aggie pass defense and that's got to be a big concern for us heading into the playoffs.

All I have to say is

    Saaaaaaaaac 12, Saaaaaaaaac 12

1-7 since their big press conference if I remember the date correctly.

Lan Larison hits 2K All-Purpose yards on the season and is the nation's leader in All-Purpose Yards. Larison becomes the first Aggie in program history to reach the massive milestone!!

That was reminiscent of the early in the season ineffective pass defense with a lead like against A&M commerce. Not a one time thing.

Missouri offfered Lan $400k. We rustled up some cash and got him some sponsorship money (Rivalz).

Give the sac QB credit. He handled the pressure well, turning losses into big plays. Game plan was to get him to make mistakes, with a lot more pressure than normal…and he stood up. They have playmakers at WR - just surprised we couldn’t put him on the ground!

Looking at some of Sac's past games, it looks like Conklin was the whole offense: vs. Cal Poly he accounted for 88.8% of the yardage; today vs the Ags, 87.1%; vs. Portland State, 68.8%; vs. Weber State, 66.9% and vs. EWU, 66.6%. Maybe this is Coach Thompson's game plan, but I suspect it's largely because the kid is just very good. The way he could throw on the move and make pinpoint passes was impressive. Hard to blame our secondary, plus, I think we only sacked him once.

Well, a huge thanks go to all of you who financially helped to keep Lan here!

How the hell are FCS programs that are not flush with the kind of money that the big programs have going to be able to keep their best athletes? Big time college football and basketball programs are being run like big corporations who just eat up the smaller programs to continue to enrich themselves . It just doesn't seem right to me...

Conklin was impressive. He's athletic and elusive and we just couldn't get to him. Can you imagine how good Sac might have been without all the injuries they had this season? I think they would have been right up at the top of the conference if they had stayed more healthy?

I don't think that there is any head coach in college football who is more genuine, humble and gracious than Tim Plough. We are lucky to have him.

Here's a photo that shows that Winston Williams did get his right foot down in the back of the end zone before going out of bounds. Sac felt they got robbed but they didn't. It was a great catch by Williams.

Hornet head coach Andy Thompson was emotional in defeat after speaking with his team.

"There's a lot of hurt in that locker room right now," he said.

"I'm very proud of how they fought to the last whistle. I just wanted us to be one point better than our opponent today. Our guys did everything they could to win a game for this school. I don't think there were many people who thought this was going to be a three-point ball game."

I was on the road for part of the game and for whatever reason KHTK wasn’t on TuneIn app so I listened to the Sac radio broadcast. Dear god, it made the clowns on the TV call seem like absolute professionals. But Sportscenter came on after and as much all this NIL and transfer portal business allows big FBS schools to treat FCS like their personal D-league, they were saying it has at least created greater parity among the FBS schools that nobody is unstoppable anymore because the Alabamas of the world don’t have the depth to keep excellent players on the bench for rotation. Those guys transfer to places like Colorado to get playing time. It was an interesting take but sounds like FBS playoff selection might be even more complicated than FCS.
