    Never too early to start this. Here's the Causeway Cup schedule for the 2024 Fall quarter:

    Women's Soccer - August 15 @ Davis (UCD 2, CSUS 0)
    Volleyball - September 10 @ Davis (UCD 3, CSUS 1)
    Men's golf - September 17-18, Ram Masters Invit'l, Ft. Collins, CO (CSUS 7th, UCD 13th of 16)
    Women's golf - September 30 - October 1, Molly Collegiate Invit'l, Seaside, CA (UCD 4th - Tie, CSUS 8th of 11)
    Fall softball - October 5 @ Sacramento
    Men's Soccer - November 2 @ Sacramento, (UCD 4, CSUS 2)
    Men's Cross Country - NCAA West Regionals - November 15 @ Colfax, WA [Hosted by Washington State] (UCD 12th, 357 pts., CSUS 27th, 780 points)
    Women's. Cross Country - NCAA West Regionals - November 15 @ Colfax, WA [Hosted by Washington State] (UCD 11th, 365 points, CSUS 28th 777 points
    Women's basketball - November 20 @ Davis (UCD 76, CSUS 45)
    Football - November 23, @ Sacramento (UCD 42, CSUS 39)

    Here are the posted events for the winter and spring of 2025.

    Initially beach volleyball was to be determined by home and away duals, but it seems that beach volleyball competitions, like golf, cross-country, etc., are now typically multi-team weekend events.

    Aggies opened the 2024-25 Causeway competition this evening with a 2-0 victory in women’s soccer in a game played in Davis. Causeway score is UCD 5, CSUS 0. Next event is volleyball on September 10 in Davis.

    In other Causeway news UCD has posted the men’s golf schedule for the 2024-25 season and CSUS has posted their schedule for Fall 2024. The teams are both scheduled to compete in the Ram Masters Invitational in Ft. Collins, Colorado hosted by Colorado State on September 17-18. While Sac has not posted a winter and spring schedule for 2025, the UCD schedule include the El Macero Classic on April 11-13, an event in which both schools usually participate.

    Women’s volleyball final: UCD 3, CSUS 1.

    Belated edit - been on vacation: Causeway score is UCD 10, CSUS 0. Next event is men's golf on September 17-18 at the Ram Masters Invitational in Ft. Collins, CO.

    After two rounds of the Ram Master Invitational Davis men's golf is in 14th of 18 teams at 17 over par. CSUS is in 8th place at 1 over par. Play continues with the third of three rounds tomorrow.

    Davis men's golf finished the Ram Master Invitational in 13th place of 16 teams with a score of 15 strokes over par. Sac ended up tied for 7th at 3 over. Ags just could not recover from a disastrous 14 over par first round.

    We now go into asterisk scoring. Causeway score is (?) UCD 10, CSUS 5. That may change when the spring schedules are announced, and whether or not the powers that be count fall competition in what are traditionally winter or spring sports.

    Edit: WIth the announcement of the winter and spring golf schedules the "running" Causeway Score should be UCD10, CSUS 2.5.

    And we can add more asterisks after the women's golf teams compete in the Molly Collegiate open, a fall golf tournament hosted by ACC member California on September 30 and October 1 in Seaside.

    UCD women's golf finished the three round Molly Invitational in a tie for 4th place of 11 teams with a score of 884 strokes or 20 over par. Sac ended up in 8th place at 901 strokes and 37 over par.

    Diving further into asterisk scoring, the Causeway score is (?) UCD 15, CSUS 5. That may change when the spring schedules are announced, and whether or not the powers that be count fall competition in what are traditionally winter or spring sports. The UCD website does not include the fall golf events.

    The next event, (on the posted schedules for both schools) is a fall softball game this coming Saturday in Sacramento.

    EDIT: October 7. Neither school posted results for the October 5th fall softball game. All is right with the world.

    Ags defeated Hornets in men's soccer this afternoon, 4-2, in a match played in Sacramento. Running Causeway cup score is, I think, UCD 20, CSUS 5. That will certainly change when the spring schedules are announced, and whether or not the powers that be count fall competitions in what is traditionally a winter or spring sport, golf.

    Next scheduled Causeway competitions are in men's and women's cross-country when both teams for both schools compete in the NCAA West Regionals on November 15 in Colfax, WA, hosted by Washington State.

    Results from the NCAA D-1 Cross-Country West Regional, held in Colfax, WA, hosted by Washington State:

    Women: UCD 11th place, 365 points - CSUS 28th place, 777 points
    Men: UCD: 12th place, 357 points - CSUS 27th place, 780 points.

    With the usual reservations about fall golf competition, the current Causeway Cup score is UCD 30, CSUS 5.

    With tonight’s resounding 76-45 victory over Sac State in women’s basketball the current Causeway score is UCD 35, CSUS 5.

    Edit: WIth the announcement of the winter and spring schedules the "running" Causeway Score should be UCD 32.5, CSUS 2.5.

    The next competition between the schools is the football game this coming Saturday in Sacramento.

    The final Causeway event of the 2024 calendar year is men's basketball on December 14th in Sacramento. The game will be at Sac's state-of-the-art school gym.

    I have updated the schedule above for the 2024-25 academic year. Some of these may be posted by one school or the other but not both.

    Softball and beach volleyball schedules have not been posted.

    With tonight’s 69-62 victory over Sac State in men’s basketball the current Causeway score is UCD 42.5, CSUS 2.5.

    At the conclusion of the fall quarter, and of this calendar year, Sac has only a single victory, a better finish in a men's golf meet. Davis is a mere 2.5+ points from winning this year's Causeway Cup.

    The schools are scheduled to meet in two gymnastic meets in January, however both are multiple team events and by the "rules" of the cup the gymnastic points are to be determined only by home and away dual meets. The next scoring event is men's tennis on February 14 in Sacramento.

    UCD came in second behind Sac State and ahead of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in a meet in Sacramento yesterday. Scores were Sac 194.700, UCD 193.525, UW-O 191.175 This is not part of a home and away dual meet competition so the results do not count in the Causeway Cup.

    Next competition between the two schools is another gymnastics meet, this time a four team event in San Jose which will include San Jose State and Boise State.

    Next scheduled Causeway Cup competition is men's tennis on February 14th in Sacramento.
