Well, it's out of the frying pan and into the fire tonight for the Aggies as they travel to Palo Alto to play Stanford. The Aggies have never beaten the Cardinal in 15 games dating back to 2007 and 12 of those 15 loses were on the road. The closest games occurred in 2014 and 2019 when the Aggies lost by 12 and the biggest blowouts were in 2011 and 2012 when the Ags lost by 45. Last year, the Aggies lost 92-52.

Live stream on ESPN+ and the ACC Network at 7 pm. Go Ags!

I don't see this game on ESPN+. Just ACC Extra network. Boo...

I scrolled down to "Conferences" on ESPN+ and then chose Big West and they have the game listed to go live at 7 pm. It does show that it is being carried by the ACC Network. However, since ESPN+ IS showing it to air live at 7 pm, I assume that they will be airing it as well via the ACC Network.

8-4 Stanford at the first media break. Ags working hard on defense and are getting open looks but missed a couple of easy buckets. I think they'll settle down a bit...

17-11 Stanford after the first quarter. The Aggie D is playing pretty well but we're missing open looks and Stanford interior size is giving us fits on the boards. We got out rebounded 15-5 leading to 8 second chance points for the Cardinal.

No luck for me. ESPN is asking me to log in with our service provider (we cut the cord), and Sling is asking me to pay more for an additional sports package. Oh well.

19-15 Stanford with 4:35 to go in 2nd Q. Ags are playing hard on D and that's keeping the game close at this point.

We cut the cord with cable and got Youtube TV and we are happy with it but I also subscribe to ESPN+ annually. Not sure why ESPN+ isn't letting you log in if you are a subscriber.

    29-21 Stanford at the half.

Good defense by the Aggies has kept them in the game but they've missed quite a few easy shots close to the rim or they'd be tied or in the lead. Unfortunately, Sabel had a poor half. She's forcing up wild shots and turning the ball over when she tries to force her way into the paint. She needs to be a consistent leader for this team and they need her to settle down in the second half if we are to have a chance.

This is the antithesis of the officiating we saw against the Aztecs. There are a few more fouls called during the 3rd quarter. If only we could make free throws!

    Staying with them, though 27-35 5:49 q3

39-32 Stanford with 3:34 to go in the 3rd. Aggies hanging in there.

Ags took the lead 47-46 but Stanford hit a 3 at the buzzer and leads 49-46 at the end of the 3rd Q.

OMG - we had the lead - briefly - a 3 ptr at horn pulled Stanford ahead again - but I can't recall being this competitive against Stanford this late in the game.

The announcer said that the last time the Aggies beat Stanford was back in our D2 days in 1978.

1978? Wow - I missed that remark. I'm getting cutouts. But tied at 49 9:10

Ouch. Down 12, scoring drought of 4:35.

Yes, Stanford has couple big, strong players who can bull their way to the hoop and we just don't match up well with that kind of physical play.

Stanford 69 Aggies 56 - Final. Valiant effort by the Aggies tonight. This game was much closer than the final score. The final score was Stanford's biggest lead of the game.

Was close. Buddy of mine tuned in at the end of the 3rd, then Stanford took the lead back. We can blame him.

Offensive rebounds pretty much tell the tale: UCD 4, STAN 14

The Aggies worked really hard on defense and that kept the game within reach. Harris had one of her best games ever and Burns played well too. Epps is very fast and she is disruptive on defense. Sabel, unfortunately, had a really rough game: 2-11 from the field and 5 TO's. She was simply trying to do too much, forced up too many wild shots and turned the ball over dribbling into traffic. She needs to slow down a bit, stop pressing and play more within herself.
