Bob Dunning takes the Ags by 10:

AGGIES over EASTERN WASHINGTON ... The Eagles are 11-0 against UCD, but that streak will come to an end on the red turf in Cheney. Take the Ags by 10.

I remember following the team on the internet and (if my memory serves, which is increasingly not the case) I saw the playoff loss to EWU on one of the ESPN channels. First time I ever saw that red field, ugh.

Movielover: I remember watching the game at the Graduate. We feasted on Grad burgers
and pitchers of beer. The massive long tables were packed shoulder to shoulder. The place was loud and united. An epic game.
Tomorrow the weather will be better and Coach Plough has that game day experience from 2018. Looking forward to a win in Cheney. Go Ags!

This is the day the Victory Bell will ring.
    Loyal Aggies, all for one.
    Never stopping 'til we've won…
    Let's go.

I went to the 2018 game. Lord, what a terrible place especially for visiting fans.
Best has a knack with these running QBs. And we historically don’t defend them very well. If we can keep their QB off the edges, we’ll do well. Let’s get this monkey off our back. Go Ags!

I'm really interested to see what Coombs will run on defense this game.

And how healthy we are on the line. I missed the Plough luncheon this week so i feel a bit in the dark.

still a number of walking wounded in the DL. Cloyd has a broken hand but is playing cuz this is his last hurrah. Corners are hurting, so they are moving people around in the back (backups had trouble last week). It’s gonna take a heck of a coaching effort and gut check from the guys who can play!

Just going by guys who haven’t played, recently the team has been without backup defensive ends Carrillo and Carrade, linebacker Garretson , cornerbacks Verner and McWilliams.
They played Antzoulatos, Sarac, and Cloyd st Garreton’s spot so they appear ok there.
They got some good play from Newman and Masui as reserve defensive ends, but those guys are a fall off as far as pass rush from Carrillo and Carrade.
Alexander, last years starter at cornerback played Verner and McWilliams position.

Those injuries to our corners is worrisome. We got torched too often with those big pass plays last week against Poly and, even though it didn't really hurt us against the Mustangs, that can't happen repeatedly against the Eagles if we are going to get a W in Cheney. I think EWU could put up some solid offensive stats against our beat up defense so we'll probably bend at times but we just can't break. Hopefully, our offense will keep on clicking without any critical TO's and score TD's when we're in the red zone. We have to take advantage of our opportunities offensively and help out our D.

The Eagles are always very athletic and they have our number like no other team in the conference. I think the Ags will be ready and I know they want this one badly. 0-11 is a real stinker. I still remember Best running up the score against us late in the 4th quarter with Barriere and his starters still in the game. That's always left a bad taste in my mouth about Best. Now we have another chance to break the EWU curse. Go Ags!

Worth noting: Villanova is down 28–0 in the 2nd quarter.. not trying to jinx it but a Davis win today could cement us in the top 5 of FCS….

Some national FCS stats for today's game:

Miles Hastings is #2 in the nation with 2,186 passing yards.
CJ Hutton is 30th in receiving yards.
EWU is 116th in passing yards allowed.
The Aggies are 90th in passing yards allowed.
Lan Larison is 12th in rushing yards.
EWU is 98th in rushing yards allowed.
EWU RB Tuna Altahir is 69th in rushing yards.
Aggie defense is 25th in rushing yards allowed.

So they're vulnerable to the pass and run games.

#116 is pretty bad considering there are only 129 FCS schools. #98 is not a whole lot better, but let's not rely too much on statistics,

Good job by the D to hold them to a FG. It looks like they're taking advantage of getting around our beat up corners.

Tweaks at corner don’t seem to make much sense. #6 played well @boundary last week and has the experience.
