EWU will be w/o 6'5' 310 OL Matt Meyer per a discussion on a EWU online chat. Sounds like they have lost many of their OL and DL, yet they still roll. They put out a call for young men on campus for Walk Ons to fill out their scout team. Their DL may average in the 260s now?
They commented that UND lost pretty much their whole defense.
Their predictions are they will win by 24, 30, or even 60. Fans overlooking us.
The Weber game gives those predictions credibility. Obviously there were some lapses and correctable mistakes that could have made that a closer game, but the Ags have the capability of being blown out.x
On the other hand I don't think it's reasonable for any FCS team to assume they'll do better against Davis than SDSU did at home. I think we will give up some big plays against the Eags O but it's all a question of how many and whether the Ags can answer.
Elon is located in Elon, NC a small town dominated by the school and east of Greensboro where NC A&T is. They used to be quite competitive, making playoffs a couple years as I recalled, than have been really bad the past few years. They are the Phoenix so maybe they are rising from the ashes. App State, now 1A got much more press around here as would be expected when they were 1AA. I think the school started as a nominal UCC church sponsored school.
Well either the Texas tech (tons of passing yards coupled with turnovers) or the NDSU models (ground game and ball control) would be nice. EWU got drilled by both. I suspect turnovers and taking care of ball will be crucial.
My wife and I are going to miss this one and the Poly game. We're on a road trip in the southwest and Colorado. I'll be watching tomorrow on Big Sky TV. You might hear me cheering for the Ags all the way from Santa Fe!
"AGGIES over EASTERN WASHINGTON … the Big Sky has become known far and wide as a high-scoring, take-no-prisoners, defense-be-damned conference where the combined scores of the combatants may well exceed 100 points. This game will be no exception. Two exceptionally talented teams on a collision course in what well may be the Big Sky’s Game of the Year. Take the Ags by 6."
I’m going in thinking beautiful day to return to campus and tailgate with friends.....and a competitive game. Just pretty damn glad we are competitive again. Feels good, man.
A creative passing game so much better than a predictable running game. ... but Gould does have a Heisman candidate at Stanford. Love had over 300 yards rushing last week.
I'm at the airport about to fly out and I gave a loud go Ags to an alumina. I'm excited but super nervous to see how the D does against the EWU attack.
I really need to make it up to Davis one of these days instead of just watching online. Really wish taking transit to/from San Jose didn't take like 4 hours
