I'm on a slight delay but when I saw your post at first I thought you were talking about the previous play when he was tackled again and I sighed lol. Huge td!
Do you think Sac gets in over the Ags? I feel like the committee won't let go of the fact they beat Stanford. I know a lot of you don't like Cal, but if Stanford gets another loss, it reminds voters that they aren't that good.
I think they're overusing the wildcat. Too high a probability that Larison is going to run so usually the Ags only get a few yards. In this game, he's only averaging 3.3 yards per carry.
I often wonder what would have happened if Sac was a less aggressive team and had the environment been more conducive for kicking.
But huge for the defense!
I just hope Davis isn't robbed like they were last year. But if nothing else, beating Sac is huge for FCS /local recruiting.
Do all of you feel that Causeway wins flip recruits or have sway in local players choosing between either school? Or is that something you see more for FBS teams? I don't follow recruiting much at either FBS or FCS levels.
Keep your fingers crossed for Idaho State to beat Idaho today at 4 pm on ESPN+. It's unlikely but, with the explosive passing attack that Cody has implemented at ISU, the Bengals could win and, if they do, we would finish in a tie for 3rd place in the Big Sky and that could help us get into the playoffs.
It's tough because Idaho has a FBS win also and the Ags don't. I live near Idaho and I would be shocked if they lose to ISU. They are expecting a large crowd there today and have been sending lots of emails my way for that game. Then again, even now I'm still shocked they lost to Montana.
Daddy Aggie, I think BS conference gets at least 4 teams.
I don't think we'd get picked over Idaho regardless of the outcome today for the Vandals but I do think that a tie for 3rd in the Big Sky looks better than 4th place.
True. I think Idaho is in regardless unless they get absolutely blown out, but you're right that looking to be tied for 3rd would be nice.
Do you think there's any chance the Ags could end up playing at Idaho? The committee loves having local teams esp out west play each other and they have not played Idaho this season. I would buy a ticket in a heartbeat. I'm sure Idaho Aggie wherever he is, would too.
At least one will make it so we can throw #3 out. Sac was a top-10 team coming into today and this loss won’t drop them that far. I also think it’s unlikely we get in and they get left out. They’ve got a better win and better losses than we do. Clearly the committee doesn’t care that much about H2H otherwise we would have made the playoffs over Idaho last year (not exactly the same since they were 7-4 and we were 6-5). So most likely I would guess both get in. But I could see Sac getting in and us being left out.
