It's not hard to defend against the Aggies. If #3 or #18 are in the backfield, it's a run. If not, it's a pass (and inevitably a check down that gains no yards).
Still a lot of game to play, but that was about as uninspiring as a football team can look. Any good will Hastings won with me last week is already waning. ISU knows that they don't even have to defend against a pass game. They're also just abusing our zone defense with no adjustment so far.
In theory, I think the best way to win in pound the rock with long drives, wear them down, and keep them off the field. But if you get 2 scores down, that may be off the table.
The thing that is so frustrating to me is that we make the same mistakes week after week...TO's and an inability hold teams in 3rd and long. It's pretty much been the same all season and it's showing up today big time.
