I think one of the keys on offense is to provide a bit better pass protection for Hastings. They had him rolling out quite a bit to avoid pressure against SUU. Of course blowing a few holes in their defensive line for a better rushing game is going to be important. As always line of scrimmage play is where games are usually one/lost.
Game notes are now found in in the “media center” They even had one for A&M commerce, although I dont know when they put it up. The link to media center is found in the preview, or is for this week.

SUU forced us to beat them through the air by completely stymieing our running game, 93 total yrds on the ground, maybe 40 in the first half? I expect EWU to have the same game plan. Another big question will be whether EWU’s pass rush is as effective as SUU’s was. I noticed that on predicted pass plays, SUU brought in 4 new linemen who I presume were their pass rushers. It seems like they weren’t blitzing that much and that their front 4 were handling it. As you mention, we need to control the line.
I see Bob is taking us by 7. I’m thinking more like 3.
hope to get that monkey off our back. Glad the Ags are at home. I think that gawd-awful red field (Tampax field at Roos stadium) is worth at least 7 for EWU.
