I stand by what I previously said that I think Mascheroni Jr. has the talent to be a day 1 impact player in our offense as well. Definitely some exciting prospects in this class so far. Hopefully we'll add a couple more in February.
He is in high school, who doesn’t put on a few pounds at that age especially if they lift.
I’m showing my age here but Tony Dorsett weighed 155 lbs as a freshman
Mike Ichiyama and Charley Enos both survived and were pretty ok players, and they played when we were up against the cream of DII teams, like, uh, NDSU. :chin:
I remember Charley getting knocked out and unconscious for about two minutes. He and John Shoemaker were a great pair of WRs, but I don't think Charley would have been as successful at Davis today. He did go play in Europe for a few years out of college though.
Nice to see the UCD logo at the gym in my son's HS (Serra). Three football players move on to the next level, and the football coach's son moves on to play golf at Pepperdine.
One thing that stands out about this class more than others is how geographically balanced it is. Spread evenly throughout the state. And nobody from the Sacramento metro area. Closest is Yuba City.
New PWO offer for 3 star ATH Troy Leigber out of Laguna Hills! He rushed for almost 2700 yards and had 44 rushing TDs his senior season! Maxpreps reports that he only had 1 fumble on 321 carries. GO AGS!

CBS Sports: "A deeper dive into the news reveals one big reason why Cal Poly may have been an attractive destination to Huard. Sheldon Cross, Huard's coach at Kennedy Catholic, was recently hired by first-year head coach Paul Wulff as the offensive coordinator of the Mustangs."
This photo strikes me as a little odd because he's a linebacker holding a football. Generally speaking, a linebacker would really only handle a football if they took it away from an offensive player on the other team in some fashion, right ? I don't know, it just seems like if you're posing with a football in your hands you should be one of the offensive players whose job is primarily throwing, running with, or kicking the ball. You could say the football identifies him as a football player, but the uniform accomplishes that too. The photo is not wrong per se, just seems a little off.
Unless...the intent was to show how large of a human being he is, making the ball look puny.
