This game is reminding me of last week's game with Cal Poly, which had us up by only 7 late in the second quarter. Hopefully, it will turn out the same, but so far, Idaho State does not look any more like a 1-7 team than Cal Poly did in the first half.
Where is downhill RB Jeremiah? Where is Babbs? No expert here, but a 6'0" athletic player has better odds of battling for balls than 5'8" WR. This is feeling like the Randy Wright offense.
And that's the half with Davis up 22-3. Aggies will get the ball to start the 2nd half.
Aggies with 241 yards of offense. It sure felt like less than that. Hastings has looked just okay and has the pick he probably wants back. Gilliam with just over 60 yards.
I'm sure that those of us who are old enough (all of us?) have fond memories of the 1982 team, even though Texas State rolled over us 34-9. I still wonder how it would have turned out if Ken O'Brien had not been hurt. Sports Illustrated had a nice photo spread of the game including a shot of a depressed Dan Hawkins slumped on the bench after the game was over.
