He said, “by 32.” My take is that 32 is not the final score, but that we would earn 32 more points than our opponent. Now, if we hold them to zero, then 32 would be a strange final score.
I know. I was kidding. In general if I post something about football I'm not being serious. Actually that's the way I'm starting to approach other sports too. If I followed them with the ferocity that many football fans on here do I'm quite sure I would have a heart attack.
32 is a 5-TD lead less an opposing team FG. Actually a relatively likely score differential given how the Aggie offense and defense alike have performed against weaker teams these days.
Edit: Whoops, missed the second page of replies with multiple people getting there before me
Although I do expect the Ags to win this one, one aspect of this game I will be watching is our defense's ability to contain the quarterback on 3rd and long. Hunter Hays does have the ability to escape the pocket and run for big gains. Perhaps not at the level of Montana State (or Sac), but something our defense is going to have to address for us to get into the playoffs and have a successful playoff run. If Hays can run wild during the game, that will not be a good sign for us going forward.
In high school track Chukwudobe ran a 100m just under 11 seconds and was also the league champion in the 200m. He has added a significant amount of weight in college though.
A few years back in 2020 they had a profile of him during winter practice before the pandemic, and they had his speed wrong by about a second in the 100.
He’s got enough size and speed to be in the mix at running back if he can make good cuts like he did in his big run.
Do we keep the wagon rolling or sputter against a foe that implemented a great game plan last year? The Ags seem to be peaking at the right time. The next several weeks are going to be exciting, maybe nail biting!
I think the commentator said that three wide receivers are out. Who are they, and how much do you think that will impact the game? It seems most of the catches are from our running backs and tight ends anyway. :)
