Of lesser immediate import is recruit Lyrik Fata. He’s not on the roster but re-tweets team tweets. Maybe he’s just doing something else this year.

This QB situation is unsettling, to say the least. Reminds me of the time we were prepping for Cal and our starter left for the ministry and Randy Wright ended up playing. I know Hawk is going to put us in the best possible position to win. I hope we’re getting the guy who was the best in camp. Is Newman really gone?

I haven’t seen any signs around Davis advertising the game. My best guess would be Woodstock’s.

I read quotes from some QB expert the past year who said a key metric was getting a new QB 'X' number of live snaps (?), that nothing could replace that experience.

I'm hoping that our young QBs, including Hastings, have had plenty of those along with film and time w coaches.

This reminds me of when Coach Gould was searching for a QB, he had Randy Wright, but another QB came in and threw for almost 300 yards. Coach Sochor said, "Looks like we found a QB."

I’m pretty-game canned interview Hawkins said Dixon has good legs and mobility. If so, I don’t understand why he isn’t starting because he also has a bigger arm. Seems like a very conservative game manager type (Hastings) preference for opener. But at some point you need somewhat of a playmaker.
