John Watson, the very amiable and popular Chevron CEO, and certainly one of the most successful and visible of all UC Davis grads is now according the the WSJ To retire come Jan.1, 2018. I know we have other very successful grads, but somehow he stood out. I do not know if he stayed in touch with his alma mater or if he even has much interest in UCD, but I would think probably so with all the young engineers we graduate. Good luck to him. His exit package is $119+ million plus $200,000 a year with office and staff. Very nice indeed; Great career!
