The Aggies finally get to play 2 games in a row without a cancellation since December 19 and 22 when they travel to Northridge tonight to play the Matadors. The Ags will return home after this game since Saturday's game at Santa Barbara has been cancelled by the Gauchos.
5 point favorites tonight. i don't bet, but i don't think i'd wager on any games involving us. i think we were 8 point favorites vs Poly and that didn't work out well. hopefully, we've had 10 healthy bodies out there the past week so we could at least scrimmage and work some of the rust of last week out of our systems. Need a win tonight.
It's got to be tough having any meaningful practices with just a subset of players. Really hard to build any kind of consistency. Hopefully we see the aggressive Aggies tonight.
The start time, 5 pm in Hawaii, means that I won't be able to watch the game from start to finish. I'll start watching a half hour late and won't be able to finish until after the game is over. Fortunately, ESPN+ allows pausing and picking up the broadcast late.
seems like the Big West is suffering more than other conferences, or at least that's what it seems like based on the little college basketball coverage i see. i wonder if that's due to it being a SoCal dominant league?
21-20 us 4:00 to go. We look like we’ve slowed down and they are hitting shots. If we can get done inside offense, that might open things up - they are really pushing the defense out
That was a really fast half. When I tuned in there was only 3 minutes left. Based on the earlier posts, it looks like the Aggies let CSUN back into this game. From the little I saw, it seems like the defense could be a lot better.
I haven't seen Pepper shoot yet, but I see that he's 2 of 3 from 3, so I wonder why he isn't pulling the trigger more often. Also # for CSUN has hit 3 of 6 and has 11 of their 29.
Up 8 12 to go. We’ve had a chance the last few possessions to really up that, but missed a couple good shots (and another FT). Defense has really picked up, even throwing a zone at them
I wonder if UC Davis has ever had nada from the free throw line? Glad I was able to see the end of this one because it was a really fast game. They had to win this one given how poor a team the Matadors are, Big West door-Mats.
The Aggie defense was stellar in the second half and the offense took advantage of the back door. Nice win for the Ags...of course, any win in this crazy season is special!
The cancellations could have been advantageous to us, assuming no make ups - miss road games v Hawaii, Bakersfield and UCSB, but get the two bottom teams on the road. Sluggish performance v Poly hurt. Fullerton at home next week will be a big big challenge- 4-0 in conference after beating Irvine on the road. It’s turned into a bitter rivalry
