The Aggies return to action against on Monday at 4 pm when Stanislaus State comes to town. The Division II Warriors will are off to a great 9-1 start and will be upset minded as they step up to play the only D1 opponent on their schedule this year.

UC Davis leads the all-time series with its former Division II rival by a 43-20 count, winning the last two countable meetings back in 2004 -- and 22 of the last 25 -- including a run of 17 consecutive victories by the Aggies from 1993-2000... This will be the first meeting since a 91-76 UC Davis win in Turlock, Calif., on March 6, 2004... The Aggies are 24-8 all-time against the Warriors at home in the series, according to records that date back to the 1977-78 season.

Both teams have beaten the Academy of Art by similar scores this season. The Aggies won by 69-51 back on November 9th and the Warriors beat AoA 74-57 on November 20th. The Ags would do well not to overlook the Warriors.

These weekday afternoon games are really making it hard on those of us who actually work.

It really is some strange scheduling start times for both the women and the men.

Ags up 25-16 after 1. Shooting pretty well but making entirely too many turnovers.

And not that this is a new thought, but Sydney Burns might just be our next stud. Really like her aggressiveness, and now that she has a few D1 games under her belt, her shooting is coming around. Definitely going to be fun to watch her grow as a basketball player over the next four years.

Post finals, so none of the students have daytime commitments, I guess. Used to love the daytime games when I was in band--nice change of pace from the evening double-headers we had during conference season.

49-32 at half, Aggies lead. 12 Davis players have seen playing time so far.

Better on the turnovers in the 2nd period, only 1 compared to 5 in the first.

Ags win 84-55. Good warm up before facing the cardinal.

    16 rebounds for Hall, nice!

Three blocks for Jones, also nice if somewhat random.

Least number of minutes from the bench players was 8. Nearly got every team member double digit minutes!

Stanislaus State only suited up 7 players due to injuries. They had 3 of their highest scorers out but they were still scrappy.

A lot of Aggies got to play everyone and Cierra Hall went over the 1000 point mark for her career. However, the Ags looked rusty and not very energetic which might be expected after a week of finals and not really being fired up about playing the Warriors. The Ags will have to play their best ball of the season on Wednesday and have a bunch of good luck to have a chance at Stanford on Wednesday.
