It’s Groundhog Day at sac state once again. Sac Bee announced today that Kaiden Bennett QB out of Folsom HS will be transferring to sac state this fall. This will be his third transfer! He was recruited by Boise st. Then transferred to Nevada. Now to sac. Bee claims he will be immediately eligible with 4 years eligibility. Right out of the Thompson playbook. Quite surprising given that Taylor said sac was loaded with QBs after Thompson left. Guess they weren’t.
Not him. This transfer was in the rotation at outside LB for UCLA last year and is immediately eligible. Has two years of remaining eligibility and enrolled in grad school.
Did a search on UCLA transfer protocol and they have a bunch of guys leaving. This article from January shows 12, and with this extended period this year, there are probably more
LB Porter Connors has committed to UC Davis! Maybe that will help sway his brother, Rex, to also commit! Also I think this makes our first commit ever from Utah? The recruiting net is getting bigger.
It looks like Jake Parsons is a very nice get for the Aggies. He had offers from San Jose State, Idaho State, Utah State, NAU, Cal Poly, Lake Erie College and Lehigh also.
Seems like we've got a recruiting pipeline going for high caliber TE's. He chose UC Davis over San Jose State, Cal Poly, New Mexico, Fresno State, Wyoming, Sac State, Eastern Washington, Army, and San Diego State. Great recruit for the Aggies!
Coach Creighton really did a good job with the TEs before leaving for Fresno and Coach Shelton is carrying on the tradition. No matter the position, being a pipeline is always a good thing.
In the only track meet of his junior year last season (season was canceled the next day due to Covid) he ran an impressive leg of the 4 X 100 to win the race foe St Joseph (5th to 1st). The kid has wheels.
It looks like the Ags won out over a lot of good competition for Rex Connors. He had 15 offers all together including us: Air Force, Army, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Montana Western, Northern Colorado, Navy, Nevada, South Dakota State, UCD, Weber State and a PWO from BYU. That says something about our the reputation of our program!
