Licking my chops at the thought of that Causeway Classic if everything holds serve between now and then (BIG knock on wood for our side of the equation).
And per the hurt feelings of a couple of Kal fans back 2 months ago ... hey, fine by me if I attempted to sow a little complacency within the Old Blues. All fair in love and war.
14 point favorite, similar to last week. I’d be feeling better about this game if it were an afternoon kickoff. Forecast is decent (high of 65, low of 29), but could be pretty chilly in the 4th. Need a fast start
I really dont know what “hype” means, but Hawkins was very correct giving SU a lot of respect because this will be a watershed game for the AGGIES. SU is a very solid team. We will be very lucky to pull this one off IMHO. 14 points is laughable. More like 3 at best.
based on their record (1-6 with a win over a one-win S.F. Austin) and some of their loses, we should be strong favorites. 14 points on the road. yeah, i wouldn't put the pension on that! we've not been a sure bet when its come to the point spreads this year!
SUU has been giving up alot of yards on the ground. if we can get our run game going, like in the 1st half Saturday v. Poly, i think we can put up alot of points. they haven't shown the ability to score much. but, a fall evening in Eakles Colisseum gives me a bit of a pause!
How about Brad Sorenson-Tyson Poofs combination? i swear those guys KILLED us in the 2010 era! they had back-to-back years of putting up 55 points on us, one time of a wet, miserable night at Aggie Stadium!
I was there, it was one of the three most through butt kickings I ever witnessed at Aggie Stadium...the other two being Cal Poly in the Ramses Barden era in 2007 and one year when Prukop and Montana State dropped like 77 on us during the 2014 homecoming.
the Poly game? we had 402 yards of offense. not bad. except they had 300 MORE yards. 704 on the day. that may have been the game when Poly went for it on something like 4th and 3 on their OWN 10, and there was no doubt in anybody that they would make it. they did.
the MSU game. we rung up 610 yards of offsense. SIX HUNDRED AND TEN. and they had 737. yikes. on the plus side, we dominated time of possession!!! Ben Scott threw for 379 yards, 4 TD. Manzanares ran for 143. and we got beat by 40. that's crazy.
Forecast for the game time TONIGHT is 53 dropping to 43 at 9. Tomorrow is supposed to be 5 degrees warmer and sunny. That shouldn’t effect us. More concerned about the mounting injuries at the skill spots. Sounds like they are getting key guys back to health
