I plan on checking out Eastern Washington vs Jacksonville State. Eastern not as intimidating when not on their awful red turf and Jacksonville a playoff team the past couple years

Weber vs. UNR could be interesting.

The red, artificial turf at EWU is the ugliest field in all of college football.

I don’t know if the following was said by someone on this board or I saw it somewhere else:

“Welcome to Eastern Washington - home of Tampax Field”

28-7 EWU. First quarter. Blowing JSU out. JSU cannot stop EWU.

I thin JSU will score quite a few points - problem is they can’t stop Eastern.

Kickoff TD helps explains how they're already at 28. I was stunned when I turned on the game

Pick 6 and first stop 3 and out by JSU changes momentum a bit.

28-21 EWU. It’s a game now. Defense optional.

A little shocked at 37-7 half time score of Oregon state over poly. Just looking at stats, poly has only passed 5 times. Might want to open it up?

45-7 with 3 minutes to go 3rd quarter. Looks like Poly having trouble on D again. Should be more competitive against a lower tier pac-12 team.

JSU scores first drive of 2nd half to pull within 7?at 35-28. Can’t get a snack or drink without missing a score this game.

I’m not watching but really surprised at only 6 passes in first three quarters. Passing had been good first two games

JSU blocks punt deep in EWU territory. Scores to pull within 3. EWU stud linebacker Ojo injured. 5:55 to go in game. Very entertaining game.

Tune in folks to espn+ if you have it. JSU looking to win at end of game.

Barrier and company have 59 seconds to score a TD to pull out win. 49-45 JSU over EWU.

Jacksonville state picks Barrier to seal win. A very very disheartening loss for EWU after getting out to a big lead and leading all game till last minute. Barrier and EWU were unstoppable on first half and very mortal in second half. JSU was able to get some pressure on him.

Jacksonville State University from Alabama. They have had a strong FCS program the past several years. They are on the Ohio Valley Conference.

San Diego ranked 197 and they gave us fits, rankings a rough science.

Cal Poly’s offense is good this year. Our efense is terrible. Before the spelling police chime in I left the D out of defense because Cal Poly has no D. We will have to score on almost every possession if we want to win this year. Disappointing.
  • DrMike

I was checking stats off and in, and was surprised to see Poly with something like 6 pass attempts late in the 3rd down something like 35-7. Seemed like you were taking more shots the two weeks. What happened?
  • SloStang

Different competition. We beat them deep on the first drive and they adjusted. They also collapsed the pocket and did not allow us the time for deep throws.
